Rumor: Pokemon Winds and Waves map leaked, plus more
A number of Pokemon Winds and Waves rumors have popped up over the past few days, including what could be a leak of the map.
The rumors have appeared from different sources, including BallGuy and Mootmonthly. We’ll note that nothing has been officially confirmed at this time.
First up, you can find the map below. The map was based on a 2024 build of the game, and there’s a good chance that it comes from the “Teraleak” that impacted Pokemon developer Game Freak a couple of years ago.
Next, in the image below, this new anime character – who goes by the name Navy and is from Lumiose – will apparently be connected to a new Gen 10 Pokemon. This new Pokemon is said to be Rock / Psychic.
We also have a teaser of a new Gen 10 character below (language warning). The teaser image is for the Champion, specifically a younger version of the Champion. The older Champion as he appears in game has a “longer hair to shoulders, goatee, as well as a coat”, and has an important connection to the main legendary Pokemon. Note that this is not what the actual design will be.
Something else we’re hearing is that we could see a Pokemon Winds and Waves prequel anime or perhaps even flashbacks to explain story details. This would cover the new Champion who has a connection to the main Legendary Pokemon.
Coming from BallGuy, it’s claimed that the Poison type Gym Leader is an idol / performer. There’ll also be a new Dragon / Poison Pokemon, potentially story-related. Rumor has it that it’s a Komodo dragon.
Finally, if you were hoping to hear about Pokemon Winds and Waves later this year, you might be disappointed to hear that there are apparently no plans to talk about the games again until 2027. This comes from the same leaker who has accurately leaked multiple details, including the starters.
Pokemon Winds and Waves are in the works for Nintendo Switch 2. Find a list of all confirmed Pokemon for the games here.
