Ranking the Zelda games on Nintendo Switch from best to worst
Posted on 1 day ago by Ethan in Features, Switch, Switch 2 | 0 comments
As The Legend of Zelda celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, we’ve put together a ranking of the games on Nintendo Switch from best to worst.
Fans of the Zelda series have it very, very good on the console. You’ve got two new groundbreaking games, plenty of high-quality remakes, and access to a majority of past titles via Nintendo Switch Online. If you’re looking to get into the franchise for the first time, we’ve ranked every main series game released for Nintendo Switch from best to worst. Or, in this case, best to “least best” – since it’s extremely rare that the Zelda series gets an objectively bad game.
Do note, however, that we’re only including Nintendo Switch games here. Nintendo Switch Online includes tons of fantastic Zelda games like Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, but they’re not included on the list this time around. We did rank the top 10 Zelda games of all time back in 2024, if you’re interested in reading that first.

Link has largely stayed quiet since The Legend of Zelda’s debut forty years ago, but that’s likely about to change with the upcoming movie. Now Takaya Imamura, the art director for Zelda: Majora’s Mask, has expressed some concerns.
Imamura, who retired from Nintendo in 2021 after more than thirty years at the company, also worked on Zelda: A Link to the Past. He was also the art director of Star Fox 64 and F-Zero X.

The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary predictions
Posted on 2 months ago by Ethan in Features, General Nintendo, Switch, Switch 2 | 0 comments
This year, The Legend of Zelda series is celebrating its 40th anniversary. And today, we’ve got a bold prediction for what we’ll see for its big anniversary: absolutely nothing.
In all seriousness, though, the timeline doesn’t line up for there to be a new 3D or 2D Zelda anytime soon. Tears of the Kingdom was in development for well over five years, and it released in 2023. Given that games are only getting bigger and more ambitious since then, there’s no way a new 3D Zelda would be ready even within another five years – it’s likely going to take a little longer than that. Likewise, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom released in 2024, and though we don’t have an exact development timeline, it’s safe to assume it started shortly after the Link’s Awakening remake wrapped up in 2019. That being said, it’s entirely possible that we see ports or a simple remake this year, though nothing has yet been confirmed at the time of writing. Some fans are even convinced that there will be a Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct – but there’s no way Nintendo has enough content coming up to pull that off, right?

Nintendo says inspiration from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment could influence the future of Zelda

Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t have its own proper Zelda game yet, but Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment could offer a glimpse of what’s to come.
Series producer Eiji Aonuma – and a few others – were speaking about Age of Imprisonment in an interview with 4Gamer this week. To close out the discussion, Aonuma shared a few general words. He noted (via machine translation) that “the inspiration we’ve gained from this collaboration with Koei Tecmo might be reflected in the Zelda games we create in the future.”
Aonuma said during the discussion:
