Fans try to uncover the identity of mysterious character from the Zelda movie

The recent accidental reveals from the The Legend of Zelda movie’s stunt team and cinematographer continue to spark major discussion among fans. After what appeared to be leaked artwork of Link alongside the film’s logo, fans have now turned their attention to another image that surfaced during the production reveals, featuring three characters.

In the image above, two of the characters seem fairly easy to identify. One appears to be Zelda, sporting a design reminiscent of her look in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, while the other seemingly shows Link wearing a much simpler tunic, giving off strong villager-style vibes similar to his appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. However, it’s the third character that has generated the biggest debate among fans regarding her identity. It’s also unclear whether she will actually appear in the film.

The image appears to show a young girl dressed in green accompanied by a fairy, immediately leading fans to question who she could be.

Fans then began digging deeper, and a major theory started circulating based on the signature “Love Faith” found alongside the artwork. Many believe “Faith” could refer to British actress Faith Delaney, a rising young performer who already has several film credits to her name, including small roles in Hamnet, Wicked: Part Two, and the upcoming The Death of Robin Hood. Fans connected Delaney to the project after online posts reportedly confirmed she is currently filming in New Zealand alongside fellow British actress Bo Bragason.

Since the character’s appearance resembles a Kokiri, many fans suspect she could be Saria, Link’s childhood friend and the Forest Sage from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It’s worth noting though that Saria traditionally has green hair in the games. Other theories suggest the character could instead be Aryll from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, or even the lesser-known Linkle, who only appeared in Hyrule Warriors.

For now, however, all of this remains purely speculation, with no official confirmation regarding either the character’s identity or Faith Delaney’s involvement in the movie itself. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates as they emerge.
