During the Japanese premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie this week, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that there’s just one voice for Yoshi. That, of course, is Donald Glover.

When it comes to just about every character in the movie, different actors are involved. For example, Chris Pratt is the voice of Mario in English, but it’s Mamoru Miyano in Japanese. When it comes to Yoshi though, it’s still Glover in the Japanese version.

According to Fantasy 14 director and producer Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida, Square Enix has thought about making a single-player game set in the same world.

Yoshida made the remarks during a press event. He was asked about the possibility of creating a different type of game that would be single-player that potentially follows side characters or a different period of time.

Pokemon Champions producer Masaaki Hoshino has spoken about the game’s graphics as part of an interview.

In recent years, there have been various discussions around the visuals of the series’ different titles. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet really jumpstarted things due to things like poor textures and technical issues, but we also saw the discussion continue with Pokemon Legends: Z-A – buildings in particular were a talking point with that one.

A port of Final Fantasy XIV for Nintendo Switch 2 was announced just yesterday during a keynote at the Anaheim Fan Festival. Afterwards the director of the game Naoki Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P, held a press conference mentioning the game’s performance on Nintendo Switch 2.

Yoshi-P states that the biggest hits to frame rate are in certain areas like towns, since they tend to be crowded with players. He does go on to state that they are still able to achieve a stable 30 frames per second, and therefore players shouldn’t be too concerned. He also speaks about how much he enjoys the Nintendo Switch 2 for its versatility.
