Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Age of Budding

Hot on the heels of the new demo, Square Enix put out more The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales details, which cover the Age of Budding. Per usual, we also have new screenshots.

The full roundup is as follows:

Since its reveal, The Adventures of Elliot: Millennium Tales, which launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 17, has often been compared to the Legend of Zelda series, especially the top-down entries, largely due to similarities in its gameplay style.

Ahead of its launch next month, a brand new “Prologue Demo” has just come out for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales.

The demo lets players try out the HD-2D action RPG for themselves. Save data can be carried over to the full game.

Here’s some additional information about the demo:

Big Dragon Quest news is on the way including the announcement of the series’ next game. That’s according to Yuji Horii, the series’ creator.

During a KosoKoso podcast, which is now private, Horii said that a live stream will take place on May 27, 2026. It’s here where Square Enix will “be able to announce the next title/work.” Horii also teased “various other things besides the next title too.”

A new graphics comparison video has come in for the Nintendo Switch 2 vs. PS5 vs. Xbox Series S versions of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

There’s already been plenty of talk about the level of detail in the Nintendo Switch 2 version, and that’s again on display here. Early on in the comparison, you’ll notice how some food is missing on the table. However, the same actually goes for the Xbox Series S version.

Wondering what to expect from the resolution of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on Nintendo Switch 2? Thanks to director Naoki Hamaguchi, we now have that information.

Hamaguchi revealed in an interview that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has an internal resolution that ranges between 756p and 380p in handheld mode. For docked, the internal range is between 1080p and 540p. However, the actual output resolution is higher for both play styles due to DLSS.

According to the director (and producer) of Final Fantasy 14, the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 version will keyboard and mouse controls, including support for the Joy-Con 2.

Plans to bring the MMORPG over to the console were finally confirmed last week. Now we have confirmation that you’ll be able to use mouse controls right out of the box. Every Nintendo Switch 2 system is sold with the Joy-Con 2 mouse controls built in.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has been drawing plenty of attention lately. Following the strong reception to Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on Nintendo Switch 2, with many players praising the work Square Enix put into the port, anticipation has continued to build for Rebirth ahead of its June 3 launch on the console.

Now that the demo has been available for a couple of days, fans have started noticing some differences compared to the versions on other platforms. While the game appears to run well in docked mode overall, some players pointed out that a number of environmental objects inside houses have been removed.

Another Nintendo Switch game could be making the jump to Switch 2, which is Dragon Quest 11 S.

Chalk this one up as another potential ratings board leak. A classification for a potential Nintendo Switch 2 version has surfaced in Taiwan. This entry was added in today.

Square Enix has spoken about the quick turnaround between the launches of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth on Nintendo Switch 2.

It’s only been a few months since we saw Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on Nintendo’s console. However, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is just on the horizon – specifically June 3. The wait in between the two RPGs comes down to just a little over four months.
