Rumor: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie digital release happening next month

Now that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has hit theaters, the next question is when it will be available for digital purchase. Apparently, it’s happening very soon.

When to Stream reports that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be available to stream starting on May 5, 2026. In a way, that would be a quick turnaround considering the film just came to theaters this month. However, When to Stream does have a track record when it comes to nailing streaming dates. Whether that will happen again here remains to be seen – as of now there has been no official announcement.

Note that streaming will not be happening until later. In other words, don’t expect it to hit the likes of Netflix or Peacock until later.

There’s been a lot of news surrounding The Super Mario Galaxy Movie as of late. Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, responded to harsh reviews the film received. There’s also been talk about wanting to adhere to Peach’s backstory for the games moving forward.
