A port of Final Fantasy XIV for Nintendo Switch 2 was announced just yesterday during a keynote at the Anaheim Fan Festival. Afterwards the director of the game Naoki Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P, held a press conference mentioning the game’s performance on Nintendo Switch 2.
Yoshi-P states that the biggest hits to frame rate are in certain areas like towns, since they tend to be crowded with players. He does go on to state that they are still able to achieve a stable 30 frames per second, and therefore players shouldn’t be too concerned.
