Yacht Club Games has commented on how it came to the final price for Mina the Hollower, which you could argue is on the cheaper side.
Mina the Hollower is the next big indie game on the horizon. Just from the fact that it’s coming from the same studio behind Shovel Knight, that’s enough to generate lots of hype for the launch. The title was previously planned for release last Halloween, so the extra wait has only added to that anticipation.

It’s been a long time coming, but Mina the Hollower finally has its release date on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The title is due out on May 29, 2026, Yacht Club Games just confirmed.
Mina the Hollower is the next game from the studio behind Shovel Knight. Originally, it was funded via Kickstarter at the start of 2022.

Super Rare Games today announced its first physical release of 2026, which is Shovel Knight Dig.
The company will be producing 4,000 units. Each copy includes a full-color manual, exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Next year, the new Shovel Knight: Ultimate Design Works will be released. Udon Entertainment is preparing the book.
If you’re a Shovel Knight fan, this should be right up your alley. It features “the fun and original artwork behind this landmark title, and its many expansions and spin-off games”. It comes with key art, character concepts, enemy designs, sprite sheets, unused ideas, and more. There’s also creator commentary plus two exclusive interviews with the Yacht Club Games team.

Bloomberg published a new report today delving into issues Yacht Club Games has faced in recent years, and also claims that the studio had been working on a 3D Shovel Knight which it still hopes to release at some point.
There’s a lot covered in the article, but Bloomberg says the company “is facing an existential struggle.” It notes that Yacht Club “has churned through most of its capital, forcing it to downsize and put a planned second project on hold so everyone can focus on Mina the Hollower.” Employees are burnt out and the game’s delay is further impacting finances.

Mina the Hollower has been delayed, which means the game won’t be making its originally planned October 31 launch.
Yacht Club Games said that development “is so close to being done – we’re playing it from start to finish every day.” Currently the team is working on finalizing design, art, and sound, working on overall game balancing, implementing localization, and testing on all platforms. The delay won’t be a major one, but this is ultimately about final polish and balancing.

We finally have an update on Mina the Hollower, with Yacht Club Games revealing the release date today. It’ll be ready to go on October 31, 2025 – that makes it a Halloween release.
Mina the Hollower was announced way back at the start of 2022. Yacht Club ended up funding the game on Kickstarter with a huge amount of success.

Support for Shovel Knight Dig is wrapping up with the game set to receive its final major update known as “Wicked Wishes”, and we now have a release date. It’s scheduled for May 15, 2025 on Nintendo Switch.
Wicked Wishes brings along its own bosses, quests, secrets, and more. The team also rebalanced the algorithm while implementing over over 100 bug fixes, tweaks, and localization improvements.
