Blizzard

Blizzard has put out an official comparison video for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions of Overwatch.

The shooter has been on the older system for a few years, but just came to the new system just last week. Today’s video shows a number of improvements users will find when playing on Nintendo Switch 2.

April 14: Overwatch just launched on Nintendo Switch 2 today, but things haven’t gone smoothly. Soon after release, players reported issues with the port – notably with performance.

Blizzard promised that the new Nintendo Switch 2 version would run up to 60 frames per second. However, some fans thought that the Nintendo Switch 1 version was accidentally uploaded since the action felt closer to 30 FPS.

Will Diablo 4 end up on Nintendo Switch? That’s a question worth talking about today as a new rating has surfaced.

The Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred rating comes as part of a leak from the Indonesia Game Rating System. There are a couple of interesting things here. First, the rating is for Nintendo Switch and not Switch 2. Second, it’s attached to the DLC rather than the main game.

We have an update on Overwatch (previously known as Overwatch 2), as Blizzard just confirmed the release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 version. As it turns out, it’ll be out tomorrow.

One of the highlights of Overwatch on Nintendo Switch 2 is support for up to 60 frames per second for both docked and handheld play. Blizzard says the technical upgrades “make this a much stronger way to experience the game”. There’ll also be better visuals and higher fidelity audio.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version comes in time for Season 2 – Reign of Talon: Summit. Here’s what else is in store:

Diablo 2 Resurrected Reign of the Warlock DLC

As part of a 30th anniversary spotlight event, Diablo 2: Resurrected unveiled brand new Reign of the Warlock DLC. Nintendo Switch players can purchase it today.

The DLC features the brand new Warlock class. Other elements include new treasures, quality of life updates, and more.

Here’s the full rundown of the DLC:

During a new spotlight update today, Blizzard shared the latest on Overwatch 2, including a name change and a Nintendo Switch 2 version.

Going forward, the game will simply be known as Overwatch. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is confirmed to be in the works as well. While we don’t have a release date, it will launch with season 2. Unfortunately, other specifics weren’t shared.

Although there haven’t been any announcements, Blizzard is leaving the door open to Diablo 4 on Nintendo Switch 2.

Rod Fergusson, who is overseeing the franchise, has said that porting it over is “something to look at”. It seems that the hardware itself is not the issue – rather, it’s about ensuring that the system 2 can fully support live services.

Diablo 4 Nintendo Switch 2

Another previously-released game is speculated for Nintendo Switch 2, and this time it’s been said that Diablo 4 will be making its way over.

eXputer writer eXtas1s made that claim during a new video (which you can watch here). Noting that he has an “exclusive or scoop”, he said that Diablo 4 is already in development for Nintendo Switch 2 and a 2025 launch could even be in the cards. eXtas1s has some level of reliability having previously leaked Game Pass games before they were announced.

Overwatch 2 Juno

Blizzard will be bringing Juno as a new Support Hero for Overwatch 2, the company has announced.

Switch players can go hands-on as part of a limited-time hero trial between July 19 and July 21. Juno will be available to pick in all modes except Competitive Play. Players can also test out the first Martian Hero through No Limits in the Arcade.

After the Hero Trial, Juno will return to Overwatch when Season 12 launches on August 20.

Overwatch 2 Transformers collaboration

Another collaboration just appeared in Overwatch 2, and the game is now teaming up with Transformers.

Players can get their hands on themed skins and join legendary Autobots and Decepticons as they bring their epic battle into Overwatch. Outside of skins, themed event and special rewards have been added.

Here’s some additional information about what’s featured in the Overwatch 2 x Transformers collaboration:
