007 First Light

Hakan Abrak, the CEO of developer IO Interactive, has spoken about the decision to delay the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light.

The game itself was originally pushed back from March to May. However, the Nintendo Switch 2 version has been delayed even further with the game now targeted for this summer.

April 16: 007 First Light has just revealed a major addition to the game, announcing that its theme song will be performed by one of the biggest artists in contemporary music: Lana Del Rey.

The game, which recently saw its Nintendo Switch 2 release delayed to the summer, shared the news earlier today. The theme song was written by the singer in collaboration with David Arnold, a well-known composer who has worked on several films in the franchise.

Original: Rumor has it that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light has been hit with its own delay.

007 First Light was originally planned for release for all platforms on March 27, 2026. IO Interactive later pushed the launch back to May 27, 2026, and last we heard, the new date also applied to Nintendo Switch 2. But now apparently there’s been a new delay specific to that console.

007 First Light gameplay, voice actors, release date

September 3: IO Interactive just gave a lengthy first look at 007 First Light, its new James Bond game, and we also have confirmation about the voice actors and the release date. A half hour of footage was shown as part of a PlayStation State of Play broadcast.

This is actually the very first gameplay. IO shows off stealth, driving segments, shootouts, and more. For the voice cast, we know that Patrick Gibson is playing James Bond. Other confirmed actors include Lennie James as Greenway and Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Moneypenny, and Noemie Nakai as Ms. Roth.

Here’s some information about the game:

007 First Light has been delayed, IO Interactive just announced. The move is being made so that the team can “further polish and refine the experience, ensuring we deliver the strongest possible version at launch.”

The game was originally planned for March 27, 2026. However, it will now ship for Nintendo Switch 2 and other platforms on May 27, 2026.
