Switch 2

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart outlining what Japanese gamers are looking forward to based on reader votes.

There’s not really much change here, which isn’t surprising – especially given how quiet things have been due to recent Japanese holidays. Pokemon Winds and Waves are still on top, but Splatoon Raiders has moved up again to second.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between April 22 and April 28.

Below are the latest Nintendo products that can be currently pre-ordered at retailers for the week of May 17, 2026:

As fun as it is to watch Harrison Ford hunt down ancient relics in the old Indiana Jones films, it’s really Indy’s video games that are the relics these days. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a good one, and after playing the incredibly middling Staff of Kings back in 2009, I feared we’d probably never get another. For many years, we didn’t, until in 2024 when Swedish studio MachineGames released a bold new type of Indiana Jones game: one that’s played almost entirely in first-person. Now, that experience has landed on the Nintendo Switch 2, promising a globetrotting immersive adventure that puts players in the archaeologist’s well-worn shoes – and, somehow, on a portable console to boot.

GameStop kicked off a new sale today, and it’s a pretty big one with various Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch games included. One batch of titles is on sale for just $15 and another batch is down to $35.

On the $15 side, there are some notable titles here including Super Mario RPG, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. The $35 tier has Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, WarioWare: Move It, Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake, and more.

The latest Nintendo Switch 2 eShop charts for the week of May 17, 2026 are now available.

Pokemon Pokopia has been virtual unstoppable since launch, but the game has finally been overthrown. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book won’t be out until next week, but with pre-loads alone, it’s skyrocketed to #1. Other than that, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle cracks the top five while Outbound makes the top ten.

Nonetheless, maintenance is planned which should be paving the way for the change. And further down the road, there’ll be some Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch maintenance.

Below is the full Nintendo maintenance schedule for the week of May 17, 2026:

Best SD cards Switch 2

For Nintendo Switch 2 owners, today we’re going over the best SD cards you can get for the system.

In today’s world, digital gaming is more common than ever. It’s super easy to download a game from the Nintendo eShop without even having to leave your house – and on Switch, it was fairly easy, as big microSD cards weren’t terribly expensive. That said, the Nintendo Switch 2 only uses microSD Express cards, which are completely different – and as you may have guessed, much more expensive. There aren’t a ton of viable options on the market right now, and none of them are particularly cheap. That said, not only will we go over the best microSD cards for Nintendo Switch 2, but also some tips to help save on storage space.

Console Archives developer Hamster has spoken further about what’s planned going forward, including how many games we could ultimately see.

Satoshi Hamada, the CEO and founder of Hamster Corporation, was talking about Console Archives in a recent Famitsu interview. He mentioned how during the planning stage, the company’s goal was “to reproduce every home console and every game ever”. Hamster had dreams of releasing 800 titles for Arcade Archives, but for Console Archives, “we have an even bigger dream, every game on every console, at least, first, at the planning stage that was our goal.” Also mentioned is that Famicom and PlayStation games are likely to be the priority since “some of the Arcade Archives games use compatible CPUs”.

Nintendo Switch list all GameShare games

Tying in with the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, we’ve put together a complete list of games that support GameShare. We’ll be updating this post over time as well.

GameShare is brand new for Nintendo Switch 2. With the feature, select titles allow you to play with others even if they don’t own a copy of the game. Even more interesting, you can share games locally with those that have the original Nintendo Switch. It’s possible to link up with up to three other systems at a time. We’ll also mention that GameShare supports online play with other Nintendo Switch 2 systems.
