General Nintendo

With how little we’ve seen of The Legend of Zelda movie, fans are looking for any sort of updates to cling to, and we’ve got a brief one with some new artwork that’s surfaced.

Director of photography Gyula Pados posted a shot of Link on his Instagram page. We have seen Link already, but this piece shows him in his famous attire and wielding the Master Sword. The piece of art can be found above.

Super Mario-kun has been a long-running manga in Japan having started in 1990, but it could finally be coming to an end soon.

We’re hearing that the series has reached its final arc. The story seems to be wrapping up and fans believe that it won’t be long until it’s over.

Mario Tennis Fever launched in February, but a new reward for the game was just recently added to My Nintendo. Members can now redeem their points on a wristband themed after the game.

The wristband is made from 84 percent cotton, 14 percent polyester, and 3 percent elastique. It can also be washed. Nintendo says in the description that the “embroidered Mario Tennis Fever wristband can lend a sporty edge to your style on and off the court.”

We have a sad update to share as Jock Blaney, who had voice acting roles in Star Fox 64, has passed away. Although he died last month, the news only just started making the rounds today.

Blaney played Wolf O’Donnell and Bill Grey in the Nintendo classic. Bill isn’t quite as well known, but Wolf has been a series mainstay. Blaney only played Wolf in Star Fox 64, and the role has changed voice actors since.

Heads up for Rosalina and Samus fans: brand new Nintendo eShop cards are starting to surface at retailers for these characters. They are for $200 and $150 denominations respectively.

For Rosalina, the character is more popular than ever before. After first appearing in Super Mario Galaxy nearly two decades ago, she began to make more appearances such as in the series’ sports games. Now over the past year in particular, Nintendo has made more of a push with Rosalina – she joined Super Mario Bros. Wonder as a new playable character, had the release of her physical storybook, and a role in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. You can check out all of the different Rosalina products that are available here.

November 17: Today, Nintendo shared the first official look at The Legend of Zelda movie with the company confirming that production has indeed starting filming.

Over the weekend, it seemed as though footage leaked from the set. Videos also provided a look at a character who has not been announced so far. That footage followed other recent reports that filming had recently started.

Along with the show above, below is a look at what Nintendo has shared from the live action Zelda movie:

How to get Nintendo eShop refund

For anyone wondering what the criteria to get a refund on Nintendo eShop is and how to actually get one, we’ve got you covered.

Historically, Nintendo isn’t too keen on offering digital purchase refunds on the eShop. That might be one more reason to purchase physical games, at least! That said, though, Nintendo occasionally offers one-time exceptions for certain circumstances. Most reasons won’t get you a refund, but there are some that will – here’s what you need to know.

Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama is the latest developer to share praise for Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto.

Most may be unaware of this, but Nakayama actually worked on The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap back in the day. To celebrate the series’ 40th anniversary, Game Informer spoke with a number of developers, and Nakayama  decided to reflect on his time working on the GBA title and his experience with Miyamoto.

A new piece of Nintendo history is making the rounds as a prototype of Punch-Out has surfaced. It’s claimed that the cartridge initially belonged to a former Nintendo of America employee who sold it in a garage sale.

The prototype was obtained at auction for $45,000. After it was purchased, the ROM was dumped online through The Cutting Room Floor – meaning anyone can access it now.

Mario stop motion videos

August 25: As part of Nintendo’s new “My Mario” campaign, a series of stop motion videos for the well-known character have now been released.

As of now three videos have been published. Each one is about a minute long, focusing on a different scenario. Nintendo previously said that the short length was decided “so that young children can enjoy them.”
