Multiple movie theatre chains have announced that they’ll be offering a limited-time, Yoshi themed popcorn bucket for the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

Usually movie theatre chains try to one up each other by making their own exclusive collectibles, but strangely enough it seems like the big guys have decided to share this time. AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, and Cinemark have all announced that they’ll be offering the Yoshi bucket.

A new Direct for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct will air on Monday, March 9, Nintendo just announced. It will air at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET.

Nintendo will be showing off the latest trailer for the film here. This is strictly about the movie, so don’t expect any game information during the presentation.

Pokemon is being tied to the American political scene again following the latest social media post involving Pokemon Pokopia.

It’s quickly becoming apparent that the new Nintendo Switch 2 title is going to be one of the more popular games this year. You’ve got a multitude of factors here. Pokemon always has big reach, it’s a well-reviewed title, and it’s perfect for social media.

Capcom has been bringing out a bunch of different collections for Mega Man over the past several years, but the Mega Man Legends sub-series hasn’t been given the same treatment. Could that change one day?

Capcom’s Shingo Izumi commented on the possibility in an interview with RPG Site. The bad news is that according to Izumi, nothing is currently planned. However, a Mega Man Legends collection could be brought up “when we consider new collection projects in the future”.

Izumi’s full words:

The National Videogame Museum has just acquired a major new addition to its collection: one of the rarest pieces of gaming hardware ever made, and one tied to one of the most fascinating stories in video game history: the Nintendo PlayStation.

Kirby Air Riders Noir Dedede & Hydra amiibo

Two more amiibo are joining the Kirby Air Riders line, with Nintendo having just revealed the Sword Kirby & Dragoon and Noir Dedede & Hydra figures. Release dates will be provided later.

Similar to other Kirby Air Riders amiibo, characters can be swapped with Air Ride Machines.

The SNES game Ken Griffey Jr.’s Winning Run has been around for three decades, but one player has now discovered new codes to access secret teams. Credit goes to TakuikaNinja for this one.

In the game, players typically unlock hidden teams by winning an MLB season. Players can then further access a Hidden Games menu option with the input A, B, X, Y, Up, Down, Select on the title screen.

amiibo

On the surface, things haven’t been particularly easy for amiibo as of late. Last year, the line did celebrate its 10th anniversary, which is a pretty big milestone for toys-to-life: they’re usually long discontinued by the time by that point. Still, that doesn’t necessarily mean amiibo are doing better than ever – it’s kind of the opposite, in fact. When they first launched in late 2014, each amiibo figure cost $12.99 each. They were marketed as affordable statues and add-ons to games – these bonuses were fairly inconsequential for the most part (but Super Smash Bros. amiibo training is still surprisingly deep), and if you didn’t want to spend the money on each figure you didn’t have to.

Recently, Nintendo upped the general price of new amiibo figures to $24.99 – $34.99 each. Of course, these are much more detailed than the original $12.99 amiibo that released in 2014, but it’s a steep bump nonetheless. Furthermore, the prices of all older amiibo were increased to $19.99 each. That means characters who were originally released for $12.99 now cost $19.99 without any significant increase in quality. Even if there were an increase in quality, this price bump puts amiibo out of range for most collectors. And yet, despite these price troubles, Nintendo announced a boatload of amiibo in the September 2025 Nintendo Direct. In my opinion, this marks kind of a doubling down of sorts – rather than going the amiibo card route like we previously suggested, Nintendo is doubling down on making amiibo into figurines of the highest possible quality.

Pokemon Game Music Collection

As part of Pokemon Day, the Pokemon Red & Pokémon Blue Game Music Collection: Game Boy Jukebox has been announced. It will be available starting today.

Pokemon Game Music Collection replicates the original Game Boy. You can listen to various music from Red and Blue – 45 songs in total. Replicating what it was like playing on the Game Boy, you can swap cartridges in and out.

The ;unit is about one-third the size of the actual Game Boy. The color of the buttons and the grooves on the main body and the speaker sound are faithfully reproduced.

Pokemon Presents live stream Pokemon Day 2026

It’s officially Pokemon Day 2026, and with the Pokemon Presents presentation happening in a few hours, we’ve got the live stream for you. The fun starts at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.

It was already announced that Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are returning on Nintendo Switch today in celebration of Pokemon’s 30th anniversary. However, this should be just the tip of the iceberg for news. We’ll likely get another update on Pokemon Champions, for one thing. And while no one can say for sure, some fans believe that Pokemon Gen 10 will be revealed – that’d certainly be a good way to end the presentation.

Below is where you can watch the Pokemon Day 2026 Pokemon Presents live stream:
