March 19: Courtesy of NIS America and Ikinagames, the release date for Starbites is now available. The RPG will ship for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on May 21, 2026.
Starbites previously debuted in Japan last October. However, it only released on Nintendo Switch – there was no Switch 2 version.

Digital Foundry has provided its technical analysis of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Nintendo Switch 2, which goes over the game’s frame rate, resolution, and more in detail.
Overall, MachineGames has produced what looks to be a solid port. The game even retains ray tracing and other graphical features present in other versions.

Silver Lining Interactive and Psychic Software just put out the release date for The Necromancer’s Tale. On Nintendo Switch 2, the game arrives on June 24, 2026.
The Necromancer’s Tale, a story-rich gothic RPG, was previously announced for Nintendo Switch 2 back in March. Previously, we were given a vague 2026 release window.

Pokemon Winds and Waves get official behind the scenes main theme recording video

A new video has just come online offering a behind-the-scenes look at the recording of the main theme for Pokemon Winds and Waves. The track was performed by the NHK Symphony Orchestra. The Pokemon Company says the theme “signals the beginning of a brand‑new adventure.”
Pokemon Winds and Waves were announced during Pokemon Day earlier this year. We don’t know a whole lot about the games yet, but more information should be shared leading into next year.

3D platformer Garfield: Escape from Monday announced for Nintendo Switch

Microids, along with OSome Studio, today unveiled Garfield: Escape from Monday for Nintendo Switch. The game is due out on September 24, 2026.
Garfield: Escape from Monday is a “veggie filled” 3D platformer. In it, players will need to help the tabby cat wake up from his nightmare by exploring different worlds.

Original: Yet another character trailer has dropped for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition, and for today’s video, Bandai Namco is showing off Law.
Law is a young man who’s with Cyslodia’s Bureau of Observation and is tasked with pursuing dissidents. He excels in hand-to-hand combat with fast, relentless attacks. Law also isn’t easily staggered.

As announced by Hamster, Master of Monsters: Disciples of Gaia is about to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 via Console Archives. It comes out tomorrow, May 14.
Master of Monsters: Disciples of Gaia was originally released by Toshiba-Emi. The game, which first debuted in 1997, is a war sim title.

Today, it was announced that Mr. Do is joining the Arcade Archives line on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The game arrives on May 14.
Mr. Do originally came out in 1982. The action game has players controlling a clown as they go through stages by taking down monsters and collecting cherries.

Arrest made after man threatens to blow up Nintendo’s headquarters

Reports are emerging from Japan that a 27-year-old unemployed man has been arrested for threating to blow up Nintendo’s headquarters.
Kyoto police made the arrest today, May 12. The man was arrested on grounds of suspected obstruction of business. In envelopes sent to Nintendo, the man included messages such as “I’m going to blow you all up” and “My plans cannot be thwarted.” He additionally threatened that he’d “already planted multiple bombs”.

Following the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, we’re putting together a complete list of Nintendo Switch 2 games with a game-key card release.
This is a new approach to physical media, which has seen a mixed reaction. In a way, it’s a hybrid between a true physical release and a download code. Each box comes with a cartridge, but there’s nothing really included. Rather than coming with all content, you’ll need to download the game first. After that you don’t need to connect online, but you need to insert the card each time you play.
