Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition

Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition is launching imminently, and tying in with that, we’ve got the launch trailer. Bandai Namco’s RPG will be appearing on Nintendo Switch 2.

Two planets hurl together through the cosmos, entangled in a three hundred years’ long war with the planet Rena ruling over Dahna and its people. Dahna’s resources are mined and pillaged to benefit the ruling Renans, and the Dahnan people are subjugated and treated as work slaves. Two people born on different worlds decide to change fate and create a new path – and after doing so, the journey continues onward with the mysterious young Nazamil. Born of both Renan and Dahnan blood, Nazamil’s introduction leads the party down a new path of adventure and intrigues. 

The character trailers continue for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition, and next up is a look at Nazamil.

Nazamil was born to a Renan lord and is a Dahnan slave. The young girl comes from a rare lineage age and has extraordinary powers. Because she feels like an outside, she’s given up on finding acceptance. 

To close out the week, Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition has received a character trailer for Dohalim.

Dohalim is a Renan noble. He treats Dahnans with genuine respect and has an appreciation for the arts, including music, poetry, and antiques.

Tales of Arise Law

Original: Yet another character trailer has dropped for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition, and for today’s video, Bandai Namco is showing off Law.

Law is a young man who’s with Cyslodia’s Bureau of Observation and is tasked with pursuing dissidents. He excels in hand-to-hand combat with fast, relentless attacks. Law also isn’t easily staggered.

Tales of Arise Rinwell

Another character trailer is here for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition, and now we have a look at Rinwell.

At one point of the game, she collapses in front of Alphen and Shionne after she becomes warn down. Rinwell ends up joining them to help rescue the resistance force in Cyslodia.

Tales of Arise Shionne

Bandai Namco is back with another trailer for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition, this time showing off Shionne.

Shionne is a Renan woman cursed with thorns that bring excruciating pain to anyone she touches. While pursued by Renan soldiers, she runs into Alphen, and the two form an alliance.  Alphen is able to wield the Blazing Sword from her core.

The highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 version of Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition launches later next month on May 22nd, and Bandai Namco is continuing to build anticipation with a brand new character trailer focused on the game’s protagonist, Alphen.

Tales of Arise frame rate resolution

Nintendo Switch 2 is getting its first Tales of game, Tales of Arise, and new details are available covering the frame rate and resolution.

First, let’s talk about frame rate. For the most part, Tales of Arise runs at 30 frames per second on Nintendo Switch 2. The only exception is cutscenes, which bumps things up to 60 FPS. Note that the frame rate may temporarily fluctuate depending on what’s happening on screen.

Bandai Namco is throwing more support on Nintendo Switch 2, and just announced Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition. It’s seeing release on May 22, 2026.

Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition marks the RPG’s first appearance on a Nintendo platform. Along with the base game, you’ll be getting the Beyond the Dawn expansion and some other DLC.
