The latest Nintendo Switch eShop charts for the week of April 11, 2026 are now available.
It was the battle of two new releases this week: Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and Pokemon Champions. It’s the former that manages to come out on first with pre-loads alone – the game won’t be out until next week. That means Pokemon Champions is in second with its Starter Pack.

Galdra Studios just brought out Arcadia Fallen 2, and we have a new trailer to celebrate the launch. The roleplay visual novel has now received a sequel on Nintendo Switch.
A whole bunch of details about it can be found in the following overview:
Today, we’re talking about how the next Animal Crossing could shake up its characters and art style and return to its roots by taking cues from the original GameCube title.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons sold nearly 50 million copies on Nintendo Switch. It’s safe to say the game’s release in March 2020 became a cultural phenomenon of sorts, and it’s elevated the series as a whole to become one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises. That said, despite this popularity, we haven’t seen or heard anything much about Animal Crossing other than the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for New Horizons – indeed, it takes a very long time to develop an all-new entry. Given how popular New Horizons was on Nintendo Switch, it’s safe to assume a sequel is in development for Nintendo Switch 2. It’s just a matter of when we’ll see it announced.
Right now, we’re in a bit of a quiet stretch on Switch 2 – which isn’t to say we aren’t getting any games – but at the time of writing, the only titles we’ve got with confirmed release dates from Nintendo are Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, and Rhythm Heaven Groove. And two of those are Switch 1 games. Splatoon Raiders and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave still lack concrete release dates, and we currently don’t have any new title releasing in June that we know of, either.
That said, there are plenty of speculation floating around here and there, and today we’re compiling every rumored game (thanks to BrTrueV for the idea on this one) that we’ve heard is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 – plus the sources of each claim. Of course, just because something is rumored doesn’t mean it’s going to happen, but it never hurts to speculate… as long as we keep our expectations in check.
A new launch trailer is in for the brutal 80’s sci-fi action platformer ChainStaff. This one comes from Mommy’s Best Games, led by veteran ex-Insomniac Games and Serious Sam Double D XXL developer Nathan Fouts.
As a reminder, here’s what to expect from the game:
Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama is the latest developer to share praise for Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
Most may be unaware of this, but Nakayama actually worked on The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap back in the day. To celebrate the series’ 40th anniversary, Game Informer spoke with a number of developers, and Nakayama decided to reflect on his time working on the GBA title and his experience with Miyamoto.
Today, Aruma Studios nailed down the release date for Shadows of the Afterland on Nintendo Switch. The supernatural mystery experience will be available on May 5, 2026.
Shadows of the Afterland will arrive on the console with full voice acting, detailed pixel art, and seamless possession mechanics, now optimized for the system’s controls. Touchscreen and external mice will be supported.
Decapolice will no longer be released on Nintendo Switch, according to Level-5. The game is now planned for Nintendo Switch 2 instead.
News about the game was provided during today’s Level-5 Vision presentation. A short 30-second video was shown, and the official website now lists the change in platforms.
