Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is ready to launch, and we have a new trailer to celebrate. This marks the return of Square Enix’s classic RPG.

All of the important details can be found in the following rundown:

Splatoon 3 11.0.1 update

Another update for Splatoon 3 is about to arrive with version 11.0.1. The patch should be available today.

With this update, Nintendo is looking to address a few specific issues. The company is addressing a few things with controls / multiplayer.

The full rundown is as follows:

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has sold over one million copies, Nintendo has confirmed.

This week, the company reported its latest financial results. Some new games made Nintendo’s latest million sellers, but Metroid Prime 4 was nowhere to be seen. That led to some concerns significantly underperforming. We don’t have an exact number, but we can safely say it’s over one million when combining both versions (Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch).

A Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase will air tomorrow, February 5, it’s just been announced. It will air at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe. The presentation will be roughly 30 minutes long showing upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games.

Like other Partner Showcases, this one will be about third-party games. However, every now and then we’ve seen some Nintendo-published titles show up – Hyrule Warriors is one example.

You will be able to watch the February 2026 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase via YouTube and the Nintendo Today app. Below is the official live stream:

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has spoken about why the company came out with free major updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Splatoon 3.

Last month, Animal Crossing received its big 3.0.0 patch at no extra cost alongside a paid Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Meanwhile, Splatoon 3 also just dropped a big patch with health bars and more, but last year, version 10.0.0 dropped which included some enhancements for Nintendo Switch 2 players.

During the Q&A session of Nintendo’s financial results this week, Furukawa had this to say when asked about the business rationale for releasing such major free updates for existing Switch titles after the Switch 2 launch:

A new listing has been found which may hint at a new Xenoblade Chronicles release for 2026.

Over on Spotlight, fans have apparently spotted a page for Caitlin Thorburn. We did look to see if we could find it ourselves, but had no luck – it may not be publicly available, but we’re marking this as a rumor regardless.

Super Mario Party Jamboree 2.3.0 update

A new Super Mario Party Jamboree update is here with version 2.3.0. This applies to those playing on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

The main highlight is support for Polish. On top of that, other unspecified adjustments and fixes have been implemented.

The full overview is as follows:

Two more classic Game Boy titles have just arrived on Nintendo Switch Online with Yoshi and Balloon Kid. Both can be accessed on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

Balloon Kid is the older of the two games having debuted in 1990. Yoshi isn’t too far behind though as we first saw it soon after (1991 in Japan, 1992 in the west).

Here’s an overview of both:

Aero the Acro-Bat Legacy + Sunsoft Lost Gems

SelectaPlay today unveiled Aero the Acro-Bat Legacy + Sunsoft Lost Gems, a new physical release for Nintendo Switch. It’ll be out this summer.

Aero the Acro-Bat Legacy + Sunsoft Lost Gems features six different classic games. Each one previously came to the Nintendo eShop, but will now ship on one physical cartridge.

Here’s the overview of everything included:

Bel's Fanfare

Chibig today opened a Kickstarter campaign for its latest game, Bel’s Fanfare. The €40,000 goal was reached in just a matter of hours, and that means we’ll be seeing the game on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch down the road – currently it’s targeting 2027.

Bel’s Fanfare is an otherworldly RPG inspired by the Zelda classics as well as “the graphics of the PS2 and GameCube era, although it also recalls great 3DS titles.” The studio adds that Undertale and Spirited Away “contributed greatly to establishing a very special and detailed setting in which to tell one of Chibig’s most personal stories.”
