Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

This week’s expanded Japanese software sales are as follows:

Supergiant Games has announced details for a third Hades 2 update. Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch players should be able to access it soon.

Last week, Hades 2 received a pretty big update with bonus content and more. There isn’t new content here, but this latest patch brings along various fixes and other minor changes.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream 1.0.1 updat

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream just came out with its first update, and Nintendo has started distribution of version 1.0.1.

We’ll mention right out of the gate that this is a small patch. Nintendo said it addressed a number of issues. However, as we sometimes tend to see in these patch notes, specifics weren’t provided.

The official notice from Nintendo is as follows:

MLB The Show 26 will be offered in North America as a new Game Trial for Switch Online members, Nintendo announced today.

That means with an active membership, you can play the game for free. The entirety of the title can be accessed during the trial, which is happening between April 23 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET to April 29 at 11:59 PM PT / April 30 at 2:59 AM ET. Remember that save data transfers to the full version. You’ll also earn 100 Platinum Points on My Nintendo for participating.

Annapurna Interactive alongside developer Marumittu Games have announced the release date for the puzzle adventure title D-topia. The game is set to launch for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on July 14.

In D-topia, players take on the role of a resident maintenance worker known as a “Facilitator” at the D-topia residential facility, embarking on a calm and mysterious adventure. Life within the facility is managed by an artificial intelligence designed to maximize happiness. Working in the Facilitation sector, players will solve puzzles to keep residents satisfied while ensuring the facility continues operating smoothly.

Here’s some additional information:

Annapurna Interactive has revealed a number of its previous games are coming to Nintendo Switch 2, including Stray, To a T, and Wanderstop.

Stray previously appeared on Nintendo Switch. However, it will now support improved visuals, 4K resolution, and a better frame rate along with mouse controls. The game launches on May 28, 2026.

R-Type Music Encore

September 23: City Connection has announced R-Type DX: Music Encore, which is in development for Nintendo Switch. The company is gearing up for a launch this winter.

R-Type DX: Music Encore marks the return of the 1999 shoot ’em up game. Included in the package is R-Type and R-Type 2 along with a new “Ultimate Challenge” mode.

Bubsy 4D demo

With Bubsy 4D releasing next month, Atari and Fabraz just released a demo for the game. It can be downloaded now on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch via the eShop.

The demo lets players try out the first three levels of the game. The title itself is a 3D platformer for those that are unaware.

According to the journalist, in an article first published by Eurogamer, the game has become the best-selling physical release in the country, although exact sales figures were not disclosed.
