Publisher Dotemu has just announced a very special addition to its game, Absolum. In an update that is now available for players, the game now supports full cross-play, including on Nintendo Switch! The news was shared through the game’s official X account alongside a message from the developers on the Steam page.

Check it out:

We know our Rebels have been waiting for this, and we’re extremely happy to announce that you can now fight together for the future of Talamh, with the official launch of full crossplay support in Absolum, available starting today!

It took some time for us to get here, and we know you’ve been by our side while we worked behind the scenes to make this possible. As a multiplayer co-op Beat ‘em Up, there’s a lot of work involved, and with Xbox Rebels recently joining the battle, the programming masters at Guard Crush did everything necessary to finally bring all of you together.

The flames of rebellion continue burning on all fronts, and we heard your requests. Although crossplay was planned since launch, we spent this time refining, adjusting, and making sure every platform could play together in the best way possible.

And now, starting today, Rebels on Steam can join companions across all platforms.

Absolum is already available on Nintendo Switch, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for Q3 2026. If you haven’t checked it out yet, click here.
