Farming Simulator gains ModHub on Nintendo Switch 2, over 4,000 mods available

Posted on May 12, 2026 by (@NE_Brian) in News, Switch 2

Starting today, Farming Simulator: Signature Edition players on Nintendo Switch 2 can access the game’s ModHub. This is the first time the feature has been available on Nintendo’s console.

ModHub lets players enjoy mods to extend and customize their virtual farms. Over 4,000 modifications are available to download directly in-game. These feature more maps, machines, and gameplay that are user-generated and developer-tested.

More information about the functionality can be found in the following rundown:

Offering Nintendo-farmers thousands of free mods, the ModHub hosts a multitude of content that can be instantly downloaded from the main menu: This includes machines and implements to grow the fleet of agricultural machinery or the garage of cars and trucks, even from licensed brands, as well as new maps and environments. Even fan-favourite maps from previous instalments, created by Giants themselves, are available via ModHub. New production chains add more depth to the gameplay, while decorative items allow players to customise the appearance of their farmlands.

As has been standard practice at Giants Software, all user-submitted modifications are not just curated and checked by automated systems, but also individually tested by developers before becoming available. For Farming Simulator: Signature Edition, additional tests guarantee that all available mods meet performance requirements for Nintendo Switch 2.

Marcel Renke, UGC Platform Specialist at Giants Software, said today: “We’re excited to expand the ModHub to Nintendo Switch 2, reaching an even larger audience. This new modding milestone allows players to experience community-created Farming Simulator content on a Nintendo platform for the very first time.”
