Borderlands 4 is “doable” on Nintendo Switch 2, but Take-Two says system isn’t one of its primary consoles
Take-Two has provided a brief update of sorts on the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 which is currently missing in action.
The game was expected to be on the console last year. In fact, it was a title that that featured in Nintendo Switch’2 reveal last April. However, Borderlands 4 has been delayed indefinitely on the system and it’s unclear if it will ever release.
Speaking with Game File, Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said Borderlands 4 is “doable” on Nintendo Switch 2. That makes sense given how there were plans to release the game at one point. However, Zelnick added that Nintendo Switch 2 isn’t one of Take-Two’s primary consoles.
Zelnick said:
“We want to be wherever the consumer is, and we’ve supported Switch 2. You can tell from what we are doing and what we’re not doing that our primary console platforms remain Sony and Microsoft.
We’ve been addressing those challenges, and we want to make sure that we’ve fully addressed Borderlands 4 from a consumer’s point of view before we bring it to more platforms.”
While Borderlands 4 has been missing, Take-Two has at least released a few games so far. These include Civilization 7, WWE 2K25 and 2K26, NBA 2K26, and PGA Tour 2K25.
Strangely, Nintendo Switch 2 copies of Borderlands 4 surfaced last month. But based on the latest from Zelnick, it looks like this version of the game won’t be available anytime soon.
