Video: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Nintendo Switch 2 vs. PS5 vs. Xbox Series S graphics comparison

A new graphics comparison video has come in for the Nintendo Switch 2 vs. PS5 vs. Xbox Series S versions of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

There’s already been plenty of talk about the level of detail in the Nintendo Switch 2 version, and that’s again on display here. Early on in the comparison, you’ll notice how some food is missing on the table. However, the same actually goes for the Xbox Series S version.

For frame rate, the Nintendo Switch 2 version is at 30 frames per second. Some might be disappointed that it’s not 60, but given what we saw with Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

Elsewhere, there are some changes on Nintendo Switch 2 to get the game running. Square Enix cut back on vegetation compared to the PS5 version, for instance – though it actually looks like there’s more going on compared to the Xbox Series S version. Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series S textures are also comparable.
