December 15: Team Cherry will be releasing a new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for the original Hollow Knight, the studio has announced. Fans can expect to see it in 2026. If you have the game on Nintendo Switch, it’ll be a free upgrade.
Hollow Knight – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will contain all the updates and enhancements that Silksong received on the platform. That means it’ll offer high frame-rate modes, higher resolutions, and many additional graphical effects.

Binary Haze Interactive today revealed Tokyo Scramble, which is planned for Nintendo Switch 2. The game launches on February 11, 2026.
Tokyo Scramble is a survival-puzzle-action game. As the high schooler Anne, you’ll face off against a diverse and deadly array of Zino as you look to return to your home above.

Planet of Lana 2 now has a release date on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Announced today, it will be available on March 5, 2026. A demo will be coming soon.
Planet of Lana 2 was first made known for Nintendo’s platforms back in September. Last we heard, it was planned for early 2026.

Starting today, Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch players can get their hands on a demo for Back to the Dawn. It can be downloaded via the Nintendo eShop.
The prison break RPG is letting fans experience the tale from the beginning of Thomas’s story through the end of the second day in prison, discovering the game’s immersive detail while getting a taste of life in the joint. Progress transfers for the full version.

The February 2026 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase is starting in just a bit, and for those looking to tune in, we have the live stream. It begins at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe. As previously announced, the presentation will be roughly 30 minutes long.
As this is a Partner Showcase, we’ll mostly be hearing out third-party games. A Nintendo-published game or two could slip in, but don’t expect to see the next big 3D Mario or Zelda here.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has sold over one million copies, Nintendo has confirmed.
This week, the company reported its latest financial results. Some new games made Nintendo’s latest million sellers, but Metroid Prime 4 was nowhere to be seen. That led to some concerns significantly underperforming. We don’t have an exact number, but we can safely say it’s over one million when combining both versions (Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch).

During a new spotlight update today, Blizzard shared the latest on Overwatch 2, including a name change and a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Going forward, the game will simply be known as Overwatch. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is confirmed to be in the works as well. While we don’t have a release date, it will launch with season 2. Unfortunately, other specifics weren’t shared.
