Switch 2

Core Keeper just received a new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition this week, and now we have a launch trailer. The game has arrived on Nintendo’s latest console with a few upgrades.

Here’s some information about what to expect:

Recently, Nintendo released an update for Splatoon 3, a title which originally released over three years ago. At the time of writing, the developers are still re-running old events, but the game is in the latter half of its lifespan – it isn’t receiving any “true” new content. Or so we thought! For whatever reason, Splatoon 3’s 11.0.0 update makes all sorts of changes that will affect players both casual and competitive.

Bandit Trap

November 18: Bandit Trap will be released on Nintendo Switch 2, publisher PM Studios and developer Picomy announced today. The launch is taking place on February 6, 2025.

Bandit Trap is a three-versus-one multiplayer action game. In it, players take on the role of either scheming Bandit or intrepid Trapper, and it’s all about stealing treasure.

Here’s a bunch of additional information:

After what’s been a controversial past few days – to say the least – for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions of Dispatch, developer AdHoc has followed up with a lengthy statement of its own.

We technically already heard from the studio a few days ago, but that was a brief message. Now the team has taken to Discord and provided fans with a big explanation and hope regarding a future update.

Greyhill Incident: Re-probed Edition

Perp Games is planning a new Nintendo Switch version of Greyhill Incident with a “Re-probed Edition” release, the company has announced. It’ll be ready to go on February 10, 2026.

Greyhill Incident was a pretty anticipated horror game a few years back. While the reception didn’t live up to the initial hype, there’s now new content and an alternative ending which will hopefully prop up the experience a bit.

Octopath Traveler 0 update

Square Enix has issued a new update for Octopath Traveler 0. If you’re not seeing it on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, it should be available soon.

Octopath Traveler 0 has made improvements to performance as well as sound quality. Additionally, the team has addressed several fixes.

The full rundown is as follows:

Masayoshi Yokoyama from RGG Studio has spoken about bringing Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties to Nintendo Switch 2 as well as the series’ future on the platform.

In a Creator’s Voice video published by Nintendo today, Yokoyama indicated that Switch 2 could get additional Yakuza games if fans express their interest. He had this to say:

Following the news that Dispatch has been censored on both Switch 2 and Switch, Nintendo has issued a statement.

As previously reported, whereas other platforms had optional censorship on other platforms, that isn’t the case now. PS5 and PC included a toggle to turn off a certain toggle for nudity and other adult content, but it’s essentially always on for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

This week’s expanded Japanese software sales are as follows:

January 26: The first big Nintendo Direct is rumored to be taking place during the first week of February. That claim comes from NateTheHate, who shared what he’s heard during a podcast episode today.

The new Nintendo Direct presentation could air during the first week of February. While February 4 / 5 is expected (depending on your time zone), he has not been able to confirm that with his best contacts currently, so keep in mind that date is not fully locked in.
