We’re closing in on a pretty big change for GameChat on Nintendo Switch 2 as in just a few days, the service will no longer be free.

Since the launch of the system last June, everyone has been able to use GameChat. However, that will soon no longer be the case. Nintendo will be requiring users to be a Switch Online member. This will go into effect after March 31, 2026.

Best Mario games ranked

Nintendo recently celebrated its favorite holiday, MAR10 Day – which means there’s no better time to rank the mainline Super Mario titles. For reference, this only includes games that the company considers to be “main series”, which generally includes 2D Mario and 3D Mario, but not Wario Land or Yoshi’s Island (even though the former was called Super Mario Land 3 and the latter Super Mario World 2). It also includes Super Mario Run, for whatever reason, and as you might expect that game is nowhere to be found on our list.

Before you read, keep in mind that this is of course a heavily subjective list, and it’s more to promote all of you ranking your own lists in the comments down below than anything else. Feel free to share your thoughts after you read our top ten!

The move would come in accordance with European Union legislation so that consumers can easily replace the battery themselves. While this is targeted at the European market, similar policies could take place in Japan and the United States “if consumer awareness of the right to repair increases,” Nikkei says.

Trombone Champ Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4

Trombone Champ is still alive and kicking, and Holy Wow Studios has been working on a new update that brings music from Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4 to the game. That boosts this DLC to 21 tracks.

The focus for Trombone Champ has been the PC version, so things are running a bit behind on Nintendo Switch. That means the Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4 tracks aren’t live on the console yet, but they should be in the future. Holy Wow says it’s “trying to bring the DLC to the Nintendo Switch version of the game ASAP.”
