Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition

SEGA appears to be working on Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition. Although there’s been no official announcement, a rating for the game has now surfaced in Korea from The Game Rating and Administration Committee.

The rating doesn’t provide any information and technically doesn’t confirm a Nintendo release. However, we’d be surprised if Nintendo Switch 2 wasn’t included in the plans here. Sonic Frontiers was a little rough on the original Nintendo Switch from a technical standpoint, so a Switch 2 version could greatly improve the experience. SEGA could also choose to include new content / features.

Nintendo Switch Parental Controls 2.4.0 update

The latest update has been released for the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app, which puts it at version 2.4.0.

A couple of new features are available, including being able to access more information whenever the PIN is successfully entered on a system plus the ability to receive notifications whenever a PIN is entered.

The official rundown of the patch is as follows:

In a new report, Bloomberg claims that Nintendo is planning to lowered their output of the Switch 2 due to weak sales in the United States. The company had originally planned to produce six million systems for this quarter, but now they are looking to make six million, with the reduced output rate set to continue in April.

Back in November, Bloomberg had reported that Nintendo was preparing to supply over 20 million units within the console’s first year on the market. Nintendo Switch 2 had a record breaking launch with high optimism for the console, until reports of slow sales started appearing after launch, and even into the holiday season. Even then, the system managed to sell 17.37 million units by December 31, 2025.

Kirby Air Riders director Masahiro Sakurai has shared more insight into the game, this time sharing interesting information about the development of the Gummies feature. A new blog post just went up on Nintendo’s website with the details.

As it turns out, this was something that was in the early planning stage. Sakurai also revealed that initially, this was planned to be an online-only feature. However, “making it completely unobtainable offline would feel too isolating” and the team “needed offline play to be just as fulfilling.”

Sakurai shared the following:
