Pokemon Friends 1.1.0 update out now, patch notes – new puzzles and more

A new update for Pokemon Friends has been released today, that being version 1.1.0. The update should be available now to Nintendo Switch and mobile users.
This is the first major update released for Pokemon Friends, bringing with it tons of new content including new puzzles and plushes.

Nintendo Today! 2.2.0 update out now, patch notes – new Donkey Kong theme

Nintendo Today! has just received a new update, this one being version 2.2.0. Users of the app should be able to receive the update already.
The major thing this update brings is a new Donkey Kong styled theme. The app has also been made available for more countries in Asia.

Nintendo maintenance schedule – November 30, 2025 – Switch Parental Controls downtime

Nintendo has released its maintenance schedule for the week of November 30, 2025.
There wasn’t anything involving Nintendo Switch last week, but that’s not the case this time. A bit of downtime is currently planned for the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app.

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 event comes to Super Mario Run

Super Mario Run is back with another console game tie in event, this time being Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Switch. The event is already available to players of the mobile game.
Similar to past events, players can get Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 themed rewards by completing missions. This time around, you can unlock statues of Bee Mario , Rosalina , and Balloon Yoshi, each of which requiring 9 missions to obtain.

The Nintendo Switch app for mobile devices has received a new version 3.2.0 update, which is live on iOS and Android.
Some new features have been made available here. First, Nintendo has added the current game to friend online notifications. It’s also now possible to send friend requests to players from GameChat sessions, and create a Nintendo Switch photo album in the iOS Photos app.

Pokemon Unite reveals Empoleon, Dhelmise, Vaporeon [update: Vaporeon trailer]

August 17: Three more creatures have been revealed for Pokemon Unite, as we now know that Empoleon, Dhelmise, and Vaporeon are all on the way. News dropped during the closing ceremony of the 2025 Pokemon World Championships.
Empoleon will arrive first on September 19, 2025. Dhelmise and Vaporeon don’t have release dates, but are coming later. We’ll let you know once we have a better idea about timing.

Nintendo Today 2.1.0 update out now, patch notes

The latest update for Nintendo Today has been released, and now users can access version 2.1.0.
There are a couple of new things here. First, Nintendo has added a small widget for the weekly calendar. Additionally, news and browsing history filtering is available.

August 7: Today, Nintendo unveiled a new “My Mario” series of products targeted at young children. Merchandise will begin to be available on August 26, 2025 at Nintendo Tokyo / Osaka / Kyoto with select items coming elsewhere in 2026.
Nintendo says that this series is something that parents and children can enjoy together. Partner companies will be included in offering products, and more items will be added in the future.
Nintendo Store App released for iOS and Android

Nintendo has just released an official Nintendo Store App. iOS and Android users should be seeing the app in their respective app stores.
The application allows users to browse and purchase Nintendo products from the Nintendo eShop and the Official Nintendo website, synced through your Nintendo Account. On top of that, you can review your play activity in specifics, redeem platinum points for My Nintendo rewards, and check in at Nintendo stores and events for platinum points.

Nintendo Music 1.4.0 update out now, patch notes

Nintendo has just released an update for Nintendo Music, with this version being 1.4.0. If you’ve already downloaded the app on mobile, you should be able to update it now.
This update brings a new feature for some of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons tracks, allowing them to be matched to the current time. When you press “play hourly tracks” on one of the designated playlists, it will play a track matching your time until the end of the hour. For example, playing “A Rainy Day” at 9:42PM will play the track “9:00 PM” for 18 minutes.
