April 7: Today, Gameloft unveiled Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis Next for Nintendo Switch. The game is launching on May 28, 2026.
Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis is a fast-paced arcade tennis game featuring popular characters from SpongeBob, Avatar, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more. Expect character customization, a story mode, split-screen multiplayer, and more.

Polaris will be appearing on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch through the Arcade Archives series, it’s been announced. The game will be released tomorrow, April 9.
Taito first brought out the game in 1980. The shooter has players controlling a submarine as they use missiles to take down enemies from all directions.

Seicross is this week’s Console Archives game on Nintendo Switch 2

We’ve heard from Hamster that another Console Archives game is releasing on Nintendo Switch 2, which is Seicross. Look for it tomorrow, April 9.
Nichibutsu originally made Seicross. The game debuted in 1986 and is a shooter in which players pilot a hover bike to save the peaceful people of Petra.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie includes a disclaimer that it may not be used to train AI

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has been out in theaters for a week, and Gamespot has reported that a disclaimer was found in the credits prohibiting the use of the movie in AI training.
The disclaimer is found all the way at the end of the movie’s credits grouped with all of the copyright warnings; in fact it is the very last line of the credits sequence. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal had begun putting this AI disclaimer on all of their movies since June 2025.

Kill It With Fire 2 will be receiving its new Nintendo Switch version next month, tinyBuild and Casey Donnellan Games announced today. This edition will be arriving on May 7, 2026.
Kill It With Fire 2 is a co-op spider-hunting game. It follows the original game, which came to Nintendo Switch back in 2021.

March 11: Regista, Suzume Takanashi, and YMCAT have confirmed plans for a Nintendo Switch version of Alice in Wonder Underland AIWU. It’ll be out later in 2026.
Alice in Wonder Underland AIWU is a 2D adventure game with puzzles, mini-games, and “immersive interactive experiences.” You’ll follow the journey of Alice and Noir Bunny as they encounter strange worlds while searching for a lost voice.

Link has largely stayed quiet since The Legend of Zelda’s debut forty years ago, but that’s likely about to change with the upcoming movie. Now Takaya Imamura, the art director for Zelda: Majora’s Mask, has expressed some concerns.
Imamura, who retired from Nintendo in 2021 after more than thirty years at the company, also worked on Zelda: A Link to the Past. He was also the art director of Star Fox 64 and F-Zero X.
