Publisher Destinybit has just announced that its new game Nitro Gen Omega is on the way to Nintendo Switch. The title, a tactical RPG described as having an “anime spaghetti” style, blends cinematic mech battles with squad management and open-world RPG elements. It’s currently set to launch on the console on May 12.

Bulbasaur Jump Rope event announced for Pokemon Pokopia

Pokemon Pokopia has just announced a new in-game event set for later this month. From April 19, 2026 at 5:00 AM through April 26, 2026, players will be able to take part in the Bulbasaur Jump Rope Contest. In this activity, you’ll jump rope by interacting with Bulbasaur in front of the Pokemon Center.

LightSup coming to Nintendo Switch 2

Publisher Red Dunes Games, along with developer BugBlio Studio, today revealed LightSup for Nintendo Switch 2. The game is planned for a late 2026 launch.
LightSup is a couch co-op adventure game that can be played by up to four people. Players will assume the role of apprentice adventurers, each with distinct abilities and playstyles as they battle monsters, gain powerful Blessings, and endure dangerous Curses as they attempt to save the world from an eternal eclipse.

Total Chaos getting Nintendo Switch 2 release

Apogee Entertainment and developer Sam Prebble of Trigger Happy Interactive, in partnership with Atari publishing label Infogrames, have just announced plans for a new Nintendo Switch 2 version of the psychological horror game Total Chaos. It’ll be out on April 29, 2026.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will run at 1080p when docked and 720p for handheld play with selectable performance and unlocked frame rate modes targeting 60 frames per second. It’ll come with support for optional Joy-Con 2 mouse and gyro controls. Also included is the latest game content introduced with the recently released New Game+ update, including an alternate ending, a new stalker enemy type (The Hunter), and more.

Intimate narrative game Limerence announced for Nintendo Switch

Salix Games today announced Limerence for Nintendo Switch, which is in co-development with Game In A Frame. A release date will be announced later.
Limerence is an intimate narrative game. It takes place entirely within a fictional smartphone interface and explores the soon-to-be familiar – and precarious – overlap between authentic connection and AI-driven companionship.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is launching on Nintendo Switch in just a few days, and initial reviews are starting to come in. We have a roundup of some of the initial verdicts.
Living the Dream is a huge release for fans as the series has been dormant for a long time. We saw Tomodachi Life on the Nintendo 3DS a little over a decade though, but we didn’t see any new games until now.

March 3: The release date for Outbound has now come in. Just shared during the Indie World Showcase, it’s heading to both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on April 23, 2026.
Outbound was first announced for Nintendo Switch in 2024. Then towards the end of last year, it confirmed a Nintendo Switch 2 version. The most recent launch window we had was Q2 of this year.

Gothic 3 Classic revealed for Nintendo Switch 2

THQ intends to ship a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Gothic 3 Classic, retailer listings have revealed. At least when it comes to the physical version – which will be a game-key card – the game arrives on November 24, 2026.
Gothic 3 Classic is an open world action that first launched in 2006. This will follow the series’ previous two games that launched on the original Nintendo Switch.

Konami GT is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch 2, Switch

Hamster is gearing up for the release of Arcade Archives Konami GT on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, the company announced today. A release is planned for tomorrow, April 16.
Konami GT was initially known as Konami RF2: Red Fighter. The game, which originally debuted in 1985, features six stages with different locations to race through.

Ishin no Arashi is this week’s Console Archives game on Nintendo Switch 2

According to Hamster, it’s putting Ishin no Arashi as its newest Console Archives game for Nintendo Switch 2. It arrives tomorrow, April 16.
Koei first shipped Ishin no Arashi in 1990. Note that it originally released in Japan only, and the Console Archives version is largely in Japanese – aside from the user interface and manual, which can be accessed in English.
