According to a report from MyFoxBoston, two men from Iowa were arrested “after allegedly threatening violence to attendees at the Pokemon World Championship in Boston.” Police became aware of threats made on social media this past Thursday, and the two suspects were stopped after trying to enter the event a few hours later.

It was later discovered that the two men several guns in their vehicle that they did not have licenses for. Additionally, police found a 12-gauge shotgun, an AR-15, several hundred rounds of ammunition and a hunting knife. Once arrest warrants were missed, police made the arrests on Friday afternoon at the suspects’ hotel.
