Nintendo is about to publish Yoshi and the Mysterious Book on Nintendo Switch 2, but before that happens, reviews of the game are starting to come online. We’ve rounded up some of the early verdicts.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is the first entry in the series since Yoshi’s Crafted World in 2019. Today, Doot and Seaven Studio shared the news that Kabuto Park is getting a new version for Nintendo Switch. The game is planned for May 28, 2026.
Kabuto Park is a cozy bug collecting adventure game. On Nintendo Switch, players can take advantage of the Joy-Con gyroscope by waving the controller like an insect catching net to collect bugs.

Thanks to PQube and CIRCLEfromDOT, we now have the release date for Kusan: City of Wolves. It’ll be out on July 30, 2026 both physically and digitally.
Kusan: City of Wolves, which features a hyper-violent neon-noir underworld where every fight is a brutal performance and every bullet counts, back in 2024. The plan was always to have it ready for this year, but now we have an actual date.

Hotel Barcelona is making the jump to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, Eden Industries and White Owls revealed today. Launch timing will be shared soon.
Hotel Barcelona is a 2.5D action horror roguelite coming from Suda51 and Swery. When it hits Nintendo platforms, the game will come with the base game, the Under New Management overhaul, the Late Check-Out DLC, and all updates to date with online co-op for 1–3 players, 4-player invasion, and PvP.

Two new modes are on the way to Street Fighter 6 – specifically Random Avatar Matches and Avatar Arcade. Both are coming to the game on May 28, 2026.
With Random Avatar Matches, players can experience “quick and fair online Avatar Battles”. Avatar Arcade provides “efficient avatar growth”.

Nintendo is releasing a brand new mobile game titled Pictonico, the company just revealed. It will be available on May 28, 2026.
Pictonico is a mini-game experience centered around using photos. You can use your own face (or friends as well) across 80 different challenges. It’s already drawing comparisons to Face Raiders on Nintendo 3DS.

Unreal Engine 5 recently released a new preview for its version 5.8 update which could bring about benefits for Nintendo Switch 2 games.
The company is prioritizing performance advancements, which has become continually important over the past few months. As part of this, a new Lumen mode has been revealed that targets 60 FPS on all gaming systems, including handhelds. Nintendo Switch 2 isn’t specifically mentioned, but the platform stands to profit in the future.
