During the Q&A portion of Nintendo’s financial results briefing, one investor brought up how Mario Kart World’s sales momentum seems to have decreased since the discontinuation of hardware bundles. President Shuntaro Furukawa was asked about the reasons behind this.

It’s worth noting that Mario Kart World is still the best-selling Nintendo Switch 2 game by far. Since launch, it has sold 14.70 million copies. The next closest is Donkey Kong Bananza at 4.52 million.

There’s good news about the console’s sales in the west as things have picked up since the start of the year. This started in January with Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and big update, followed by Pokemon Pokopia in March. Furukawa provided that information during a financial results briefing Q&A

Last week, the company announced that the system sold nearly 20 million units through the end of its fiscal year. According to Furukawa, that number fully surpassed its expectations.

Winter Burrow Tidy Up update

Noodlecake and Pine Creek Games have announced a new “Tidy Up” update for Winter Burrow. The team hasn’t clarified if it’s live on Nintendo Switch yet, but if you don’t see it, the patch should be going out soon.

There’s a good amount to the update here. Players can switch between Story Mode and Challenge Mode, bring in three save slots for different “definitely organized” lives, recycle junk into something useful, and zip around faster with secret mole tunnels.

May 7: Takaya Imamura, who came up with the original looks for the Star Fox crew at Nintendo, has commented on the designs of the characters in the upcoming game for Switch 2. A few remarks were shared on social media.

Imamura hasn’t been with Nintendo for a few years, so he’s not working on the new title. However, that doesn’t mean he lacks appreciation for the series. In his initial message, Imamura thanked Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto and said he was “proud”.

Devil Connection

Devil Connection will be appearing on Nintendo Switch, Playism and ChaoGames revealed today. The game launches later in 2026.

Devil Connection is a devilishly cheeky adventure title. After previously appearing in PC only in Japanese, it will come to Nintendo Switch in English for the first time (plus Traditional and Simplified Chinese as well). There’ll also be optimized controller support.
