[Let’s Talk] Are you sold on Star Fox for Nintendo Switch 2?

Things were a bit quiet on the Nintendo front last week and this week due to holidays in Japan, but that changed very quickly towards the end of Wednesday. Out of nowhere, the company announced and immediately broadcasted a Star Fox Direct, which revealed a remake of Star Fox 64 for Nintendo Switch 2. The title is coming very soon with its launch planned for June 25, 2026.

As a remake, the graphics have been fully redone as you’d expect. Nintendo is throwing in some new elements, including a new 4-vs-4 multiplayer Battle Mode, new detailed cutscenes, and more. You can find all of the details here.

I was waiting for Nintendo to finally release Pokemon Colosseum, but they don’t want to make me happy (did they even release something on April?), so I decided to play Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.

I’m about to reach the end of it, and it was just a fine game. You can feel the low budget on pretty much every aspect, but is fun to raise the Digimon and is fun to use them in battle + the girls are likeable so it managed to scratch the itch I had for a monster taming game.

Unfortunately the game was machine translated though.

Not sure what to play next, but I want something short, so probably Kirby RtDL or something on the N64 app.

On this week, I’m still alternating between Metroid Prime 4, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Donkey Kong Bananza. Should be able to finish MP4 the next time it enters the weekly rotation. Just got past the Great Mines, so I only need the final collectibles and the finale.

My game of last week was Zelda (Doing sidequests before the final Regional Phenomena quest), so this week is DK Bananza, where I’m currently at the Radiance Layer.

I also regularly check in on Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Splatoon 3, still.

Pragmata right now. Beat the main game and now I’m about to beat the Unknown Signal endgame. Already beat all the sim pods and got the special mod chip, just gotta beat the final boss again. Really good game, highly recommend.

Because of confirmations went back ta beat Dragon Warrior CI: Echoes of An Elusive Age and Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Editions!

Waiting on some Nintendo Classics and Release Date ta hit.
