Pokemon Pokopia review

System: Switch 2
Release date: March 5, 2026
Developer: Koei Tecmo
Publisher: Nintendo

As someone who loves Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Minecraft, Pokemon Pokopia sneaked its way onto my radar when it first revealed in the September 2025 Nintendo Direct. On paper, this had a chance to be Nintendo’s lightning in a bottle – Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Minecraft are some of the best-selling franchises of all time, and Pokopia promised to combine elements from all three to create the next big life simulator game. It’s strange, though – the game always looked charming and interesting on the surface, but I never found myself hyping up its release. I didn’t see a ton of hype online, either – most likely, none of us really knew what we were getting into. Pokemon fans are always hopeful that the latest game is a good one, and often times they find themselves disappointed with major releases like Sword, Shield, Scarlet, and Violet. I myself was cautiously optimistic going in… which is to say, I already have 50 hours, it’s completely consumed my life, I can’t imagine life without it, and this is the Switch 2 system seller Nintendo has been looking for.

Mega Man Dual Override Ben Diskin

Mega Man: Dual Override is finally bringing back Mega Man with a brand new game, but it’ll have a key change since Ben Diskin won’t be reprising his role as the Blue Bomber.

Diskin took to social media and shared the news with a lengthy statement. While Capcom wanted him to return, it came with the condition that he “work without the protections of a union contract.”

Given the state of AI currently, Diskin felt it would be too much of a risk to come back for Mega Man: Dual Override, even though there would apparently be certain protections in place. He would only move forward with a union contract, but that wasn’t something Capcom was up for.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book release date

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book just received its release date. In celebration of MAR10 Day, Nintendo has announced that the game is coming to Switch 2 on May 21, 2026.

A new trailer just debuted on the Nintendo Today app. It goes over the game in general, and also gives a tease of Bowser Jr. at the end.

Capcom shared an update about future content plans for Resident Evil Requiem, including a story expansion, Photo Mode, and mini-game. News about the game was provided by Koshi Nakanishi today.

There’s very little known about the story expansion at this time. According to Nakanishi, it will “delve deeper into the world of Requiem”. He also said it will “take some time”, so no word on when that’s coming just yet.
