Today, we’re ranking all of Nintendo’s major upgrade packs for Switch 2 Edition games. Mainly, we’re ranking the ones that cost money – many titles, like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Super Mario Odyssey, and ARMS, received free patches that boost performance… but don’t count as a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, for some reason or another. We’re starting off with the worst upgrade packs, leading all the way up to the best.

Pokemon Champions is available now on Nintendo Switch, and it’s now the central hub of competitive Pokemon. All future tournaments and competitions will be hosted on Champions, which means it’s a great time to get involved with the competitive scene if you’ve never given it a try before.

6 things we want to see from a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake

In a recent podcast, NateTheHate revealed that he thinks a remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is coming to Switch 2 this holiday season. And though we do have to report on that as a news site, that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily going to come to fruition – that being said, speculation doesn’t hurt anyone!
Previously, Ocarina of Time received a Nintendo 3DS version that added new features. In addition to updated graphics, this remaster also added extra item slots, gyro aiming for the slingshot and bow, a boss gauntlet, and tutorials. Of course, we’d like to see all of those features retained in a hypothetical Nintendo Switch 2 Ocarina of Time remake, but why stop there? Here are several more additions and changes we’d love to see. We’re going to be mentioning some story spoilers here and there, so keep that in mind before you continue.

Nintendo needs to bring back Animal Crossing’s weirdness

Today, we’re talking about how the next Animal Crossing could shake up its characters and art style and return to its roots by taking cues from the original GameCube title.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons sold nearly 50 million copies on Nintendo Switch. It’s safe to say the game’s release in March 2020 became a cultural phenomenon of sorts, and it’s elevated the series as a whole to become one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises. That said, despite this popularity, we haven’t seen or heard anything much about Animal Crossing other than the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for New Horizons – indeed, it takes a very long time to develop an all-new entry. Given how popular New Horizons was on Nintendo Switch, it’s safe to assume a sequel is in development for Nintendo Switch 2. It’s just a matter of when we’ll see it announced.
Every game rumored for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026

Right now, we’re in a bit of a quiet stretch on Switch 2 – which isn’t to say we aren’t getting any games – but at the time of writing, the only titles we’ve got with confirmed release dates from Nintendo are Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, and Rhythm Heaven Groove. And two of those are Switch 1 games. Splatoon Raiders and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave still lack concrete release dates, and we currently don’t have any new title releasing in June that we know of, either.
That said, there are plenty of speculation floating around here and there, and today we’re compiling every rumored game (thanks to BrTrueV for the idea on this one) that we’ve heard is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 – plus the sources of each claim. Of course, just because something is rumored doesn’t mean it’s going to happen, but it never hurts to speculate… as long as we keep our expectations in check.
Pokemon Champions is off to a rough start – here’s why

If you’re a dedicated Pokemon fan, you probably know the drill by now: whenever a new Pokemon game releases, there’s always a whole bunch of negativity that pops up around it. A good chunk of it is justified, but sometimes people take that negativity a bit too far. So when I played Pokemon Champions for the first time last night, I went in as optimistically as possible – after all, this game is the future of competitive Pokemon, and the one official VGC tournaments will use from here on out.
Four hours later, and I can’t help but be massively disappointed with this product. That being said, at the time of writing, Pokemon Champions hasn’t even existed for a full day – is it really that bad? Technically, this is passable in terms of gameplay and mechanics – it’s everything else that truly disappoints. Here are all of the things I hope to see Pokemon Champions improve in future updates, even though those are probably at least a month or two away, if I had to guess.

These days, a big majority of games get DLC in some form, whether it’s free or (more often) paid. But with that being said, not every major Nintendo game has its own substantial expansion – some big-name titles that you would expect to have additional content don’t really have any to speak of at all. So today, we’re going over some of Nintendo’s biggest games that never got DLC, and including ideas for what said DLC could have added or changed to each title.
5 things we want to see from a new Star Fox game

With rumors of a new Star Fox game coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in a matter of months, we’re talking about what we’d like to see.
Advance the canon. That’s about it! In all seriousness, the Star Fox series has been lying dormant for over ten years now. There hasn’t been an all-new Star Fox title since Star Fox Zero on Wii U, but it wasn’t received very well – and, perhaps more frustratingly, it was yet another retelling of the original Star Fox. To that end, the franchise’s biggest problem has been revealed: it keeps telling the same story. The original Star Fox sees the team taking on Andross for the first time. Star Fox 64 also sees the team taking on Andross for the first time, and then Star Fox Zero sees them in the exact same situation. The canon has been at a standstill for twenty years, since Star Fox Command on Nintendo DS. That’s a very, very long time for a series to tell no new stories. We’ll talk about this in more detail soon, but for now, here are some things we’d love to see from a new Star Fox game.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie finally released this week. Three years after the previous film, Nintendo’s famous plumber is back. There are even some unexpected inclusions this time with Fox McCloud from Star Fox making an appearance.
