Pokemon Winds and Waves retailer listings go live, may give insight into how much the games will cost

Official pricing for Pokemon Winds and Pokemon Waves has not yet been officially announced, but new retailer listings may give some insight.

Over on Amazon Germany, pre-orders for both games are now live. The retailer currently has the two versions available for €80 a piece.

Initially, this may make you think that Pokemon Winds and Waves will be priced at $80 each in the U.S. Don’t panic just yet though. In Europe, many games that are €80 translate to $70 in the states. That said, one thing worth pointing out is that Pokemon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launched at €70.

We’ve seen a whole bunch of different prices for Nintendo Switch 2 games over the last year. Mario Kart World was initially a tough pill to swallow at $80, but a hardware bundle was offered for quite some time that essentially meant picking up the title for $50. Nintendo is about to launch even more bundle options to help consumers save a bit of cash, which is important ahead of a price increase for the console later this year.

More recently, new games at retail have been going for as low as $50. This is because Nintendo has been offering its upcoming Switch 2 games on the eShop for $10 lower. Retailers have then have price-matched that amount. This has meant that, right now, you can get Splatoon Raiders, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, and Star Fox for $10 less than you normally would.
