Square Enix’s Naoki Hamaguchi has again commented on game-key cards, and now directly spoke about why we wouldn’t be seeing Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Nintendo Switch 2 if they didn’t exist.

Despite some backlash, many publishers have been bringing out their titles as game-key cards. Final Fantasy 7 Remake was one instance of this, and it’ll be happening again with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – and almost certainly the series’ conclusion as well.

Opus Magnum, which initially had a strong reception on PC, has been announced for Nintendo Switch with a new Complete Edition. It’s due out on March 17, 2026.

Opus Magnum: Complete Edition is an open-ended puzzle game. The prequel De Re Metallica will be packed in.

Super Rare Originals and Inresin have set a release date for Gecko Gods, their upcoming puzzle platformer. We now have a release date of April 16, 2026.

Gecko Gods has been a bit of a long time coming. It was first announced for Nintendo Switch at the very end of 2022. While there was previously a delay, the game is now just a couple of months out.

February 4: Legendary publisher Acclaim, alongside developer Ridiculous Games, has announced its new game Gridbeat for Nintendo Switch. A release date hasn’t been set, but a demo is confirmed to launch later this month.

In Gridbeat, players take on the role of a hacker who has just broken into Knoss.OS, the most secure corporate network on the planet, and escaped with highly valuable data. Now trapped inside the sprawling digital maze of the Mainframe, every key press becomes a beat, and every movement a measure in a frantic fight for survival.

The demo features three difficulty options and is designed to help players sharpen their hacking skills before diving into Knoss.OS in the full game, which is scheduled to launch this spring.
