Today, Aruma Studios nailed down the release date for Shadows of the Afterland on Nintendo Switch. The supernatural mystery experience will be available on May 5, 2026.

Shadows of the Afterland will arrive on the console with full voice acting, detailed pixel art, and seamless possession mechanics, now optimized for the system’s controls. Touchscreen and external mice will be supported.

Decapolice will no longer be released on Nintendo Switch, according to Level-5. The game is now planned for Nintendo Switch 2 instead.

News about the game was provided during today’s Level-5 Vision presentation. A short 30-second video was shown, and the official website now lists the change in platforms.

Level-5 gave a brief update on Inazuma Eleven Re, which includes the news that the game will be released on Nintendo Switch 2.

The project was previously announced last year for the original Nintendo Switch. It’s a remake of the very first Inazuma Eleven that retells Mamoru Endo’s first story with new features. Of course, the graphics have been refreshed.

Today, Level-5 provided an update on Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. The company is planning the game for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

As part of a presentation today, Level-5 said that Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is still on track for this year and will be launching at the end of 2026. Development is said to be progressing smoothly.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road has only been sold digitally up to this point, but a physical release has now been revealed which will see the Nintendo Switch 2 version getting a boxed version. It’s coming to Japan on June 11, 2026.

The package will include all updates up to the recently released fourth major free update “The Rising Bond DLC”.

Level-5 is developing Snack World: Reloaded for NIntendo Switch 2, the company just revealed. A release date was not provided.

According to Level-5, this is a remake of Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold. The game originally released on Nintendo 3DS in 2017 as a Japan-only title with a Switch version following in 2020 worldwide.

A new Nintendo Switch 2 version of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy could be in the works. That’s based on a new rating, which just surfaced today.

The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee added in an entry for a potential new Nintendo Switch 2 version today. As of now this has yet to be announced.

This week’s expanded Japanese software sales are as follows:
