According to a report from Japanese outlet Nikkei, Nintendo will release an updated Switch 2 model that features a replaceable battery for the European market.

The move would come in accordance with European Union legislation so that consumers can easily replace the battery themselves. While this is targeted at the European market, similar policies could take place in Japan and the United States “if consumer awareness of the right to repair increases,” Nikkei says.


Nightdive Studios has just come out with a new version 2.1 update for System Shocks, which brings performance, content, and feature parity across all versions. including big improvements for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

The team says that “performance has been significantly improved” on both platforms. There are also stability and visual improvements.

Fatal Frame 2 Remake 1.03.02 update

Koei Tecmo has announced the first post-launch update for Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, which will be version 1.03.02. Nintendo Switch 2 owners should be able to download it now.

The new update makes a number of different balance adjustments. These include nerfs to Aggravated Wraiths and some Onryo.

Trombone Champ Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4

Trombone Champ is still alive and kicking, and Holy Wow Studios has been working on a new update that brings music from Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4 to the game. That boosts this DLC to 21 tracks.

The focus for Trombone Champ has been the PC version, so things are running a bit behind on Nintendo Switch. That means the Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4 tracks aren’t live on the console yet, but they should be in the future. Holy Wow says it’s “trying to bring the DLC to the Nintendo Switch version of the game ASAP.”

Original: We finally have an update on Shenmue 3 Enhanced, including confirmation that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, complete with a physical release.

The game was previously said to be coming to “Nintendo platforms”. We now know that means Nintendo Switch 2, and there’ll be a physical version that includes the full game on cartridge. There are plans for a special edition and a collector’s edition.

Nintendo PAX East 2026

Nintendo will be attending PAX East 2026 next week, and the company has confirmed plans for the show.

Two Point Museum Angry Birds update

SEGA and Two Point Studios are introducing the latest update for Two Point Museum, which is bringing the world of Angry Birds into the game. The patch will be available soon on Nintendo Switch 2.

Technically the game is getting a couple of things here. With the Angry Birds part of the equation, players can access the Angry Birds Digiverse Rift and explore Piggy Island. Additionally, there’s a general spring update with new content and quality-of-life changes.

Kena Bridge of Spirits release date

Thanks to Ember Lab, we have the release date for Kena: Bridge of Spirits on Nintendo Switch. It’s just a few days away as the game is coming out on March 25, 2026.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Kena: Bridge of Spirits was only just announced a couple of weeks ago. This is a quick turnaround for the game – it previously had a spring launch window.

As a reminder, here’s what to expect from the title:

Heads up for Human Fall Flat fans: the game’s new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has just released. It’s available on the Nintendo eShop as of today.
