Nintendo also put out the following PR with today’s trailer:

18th August 2014 – Explore the vast open world of Reveria alongside friends and share your discoveries with a host of local and online features available to players of Fantasy Life, the much-anticipated role-playing adventure from LEVEL-5 coming to Europe on 26th September for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems.

Link Mode, an online communication tool discovered by paying an in-game visit to the Guild Office in the town of Castele, is a feature that – once activated – allows you to connect with friends when they are playing Fantasy Life at the same time*, and exchange messages and valuable tips during gameplay. To keep your friends informed of your in-game exploits, Link Mode also contains a notification setting to communicate your achievements, and ‘Applaud’ the landmarks reached by others.

Mario Kart 8 Mercedes-Benz DLC

In the latest Just a Chat conversation, Austin and I discuss the upcoming Mario Kart 8 update including the Mercedes-Benz DLC. There’s also some talk about what we’d like to see changed/added in the future, plus a tiny bit of Amiibo talk.

It sounds like Koei Tecmo wasn’t always planning on having Ghirahim and Zant playable in Hyrule Warriors. Youske Hayashi, one of the game’s producers, told Game Informer this month that the team “originally thought of them strictly as enemy characters”. However, Koei Tecmo ended up including Ghirahim and Zant on the roster “in response to people who wanted to try playing as them”.

The addition of cuccos is another element that made its way into Hyrule Warriors thanks to fans. Hayashi teased, “They will appear during battle, and you’ll have to play the game for yourself to see what will happen.”

Update: This is actually unrelated to Rayman 3. Instead, Ubisoft is packaging three Rayman/Rabbids games together. Europe will be getting Rabbids Rumble, Rayman Origins, and Rabbids Travel in Time 3D. The compilation boxart is posted above.

Amazon Germany is listing something called the “Rayman 3 Compilation” for 3DS. Apparently, it’s coming to Europe on October 15. Ubisoft isn’t mentioned anywhere in the listing, so it will be interesting to see if anything comes from this.
