Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is in development for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, it’s been announced. The game launches on March 31, 2026.
Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is a new retro-style 2D action platformer. The pixel-art side-scroller features Kain, Raziel, and Elaleth.

September 3: IO Interactive just gave a lengthy first look at 007 First Light, its new James Bond game, and we also have confirmation about the voice actors and the release date. A half hour of footage was shown as part of a PlayStation State of Play broadcast.
This is actually the very first gameplay. IO shows off stealth, driving segments, shootouts, and more. For the voice cast, we know that Patrick Gibson is playing James Bond. Other confirmed actors include Lennie James as Greenway and Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Moneypenny, and Noemie Nakai as Ms. Roth.

Happinet is making Brigandine Abyss for Nintendo Switch 2, the company revealed today. It’s launching later in 2026.
Brigandine Abyss is a new fantasy war strategy RPG. With the game, players will experience the story of a powerful empire scheming to conquer the continent and six different protagonists who find themselves facing this great evil.

Neva: Prologue DLC revealed

New DLC is coming to Neva, dubbed “Prologue”. While it was just revealed today, we already have a release date of February 19, 2026.
In the DLC, players will learn how Alba and Neva’s fates first became intertwined. This is intended to be experienced after beating the initial game.

February 5: A demo for Pragmata is dropping on Nintendo Switch 2 today, Capcom just announced. The news was shared during today’s Nintendo Direct.
Technically we already knew a demo was happening as it was announced alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 version in December. However, it wasn’t clear when exactly it would be made available.

Ball x Pit Nintendo Switch physical release in the cards

Announced today, Ball x Pit is receiving a physical release on Nintendo Switch. The game heads to retail on May 29, 2026.
Each copy includes some goodies. Buyers will be given six collectible cards and a double-sided poster. One side features the basic, fused, and evolved balls from the game, while the reverse side showcases a piece of artwork. Note that there isn’t any news about the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition getting the physical treatment at this time.

To celebrate its eighth anniversary and 150th release, Super Rare Games has announced three new physical releases on Nintendo Switch. These are Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines, Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip, and Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping.
Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines will be sold with a special slipcover. The same goes for Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip, and a vinyl will be offered as well. Finally, with Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping, you’ll get a standees postcard.
Afterplace, an open world adventure RPG, coming to Nintendo Switch

indie.io and solo developer Evan Kice are putting Afterplace on Nintendo Switch, the two sides announced today. The game is due out on February 26, 2026.
Afterplace is an an open world adventure RPG. It’s a bit of an obtuse experience as you’re placed in an interconnected world without quest markers or a checklist, so you’ll need to progress through curiosity, observation, and a willingness to wander.

Open world action adventure game Sands of Aura lined up for Nintendo Switch

indie.io, along with Chashu Entertainment, have announced Sands of Aura for Nintendo Switch. The game is scheduled to launch on February 26, 2026.
Sands of Aura is an open world action adventure game set in an apocalyptic world buried under endless sands, in which players join the hallowed ranks of the last defenders of mankind as the remnants of humanity face a devastating new threat. It first came out for PC in 2023, and the Nintendo Switch version comes with every improvement and update made since then, as well as tailored console improvements: a purpose-built targeting assist system, reworked island exploration interface, and tweaks to combat and economy to further refine the experience of fighting for humanity’s survival in a dying world.
