A new Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial has now been announced for Europe, which is Stardew Valley.

It can be played for free with an active membership starting tomorrow, January 29, lasting until February 4. Progress will transfer to the full game if you decide to make a purchase later.

Helix Descent N Ascent

Badass Mongoose today confirmed that Helix: Descent N Ascent will be heading to Nintendo Switch. We don’t have a release date just yet, but it’s planned for Q2 2026.

Helix: Descent N Ascent is an atmospheric puzzle adventure game that has players exploring a world that evokes the dichotomy of light and darkness. It features a monochrome artstyle, which draws inspiration from 1980s black-and-white indie comics, 1990s manga, and 1970s Franco-Belgian comics.

Arcade Archives Quester

Today, Hamster announced that Quester will be joining the Arcade Archives line on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. It’ll be out tomorrow, January 29.

Namco initially launched the game in 1987. This is a brick breaker that tasks players with safely returning to Earth as they defeat enemies, which come in the form of blocks.

FZ Formation Z

Today, City Connection and Granzella revealed that FZ: Formation Z will be released on Nintendo Switch 2. The two sides are bringing it out on May 21, 2026.

FZ: Formation Z is a side-scrolling robot shooter. This is a completely upgraded version of the 1984 game.

Nekotokage Games is bringing Monster Girls and the Mysterious Adventure Remastered Edition to Nintendo Switch 2, the developer has announced. Waku Waku Games will be publishing it this spring.

Monster Girls and the Mysterious Adventure Remastered Edition is a roguelike game. If you’re a fan of the Mystery Dungeon titles, you might like this one as well.

My Nintendo 2026 desktop calendar

We’re just a bit into 2026, and you can celebrate the start of the new year with a new reward on My Nintendo. The site has now added a 2026 desktop calendar for those in North America.

Various characters are featured for each month. The lineup includes Samus, Tom Nook, Yoshi, Rosalina, Donkey Kong, Pauline, and more. You’ll also get a stand here to display the calendar on your desk, shelf, or nightstand.

After the Wane, a new game produced by Nova-box, has just been confirmed for Nintendo Switch, with a planned release window set for late 2026. The title is an interactive graphic novel that follows the developer’s signature style, blending magical realism, hand-illustrated panels, choices with sinister consequences, and a beautifully crafted soundtrack.

In the game, players step into the role of Lena, a young woman trying her luck as a dancer in the city. Caught in the middle of a rivalry between dance companies, dealing with love, heartbreak, and the challenges of adult life, she must also confront a mysterious voice inside her head.

Developer Daylight Basement Studio has announced that its latest game, Rightfully, Beary Arms,  the pawsome bullet-hell roguelite, is heading to Nintendo Switch in 2026, though a specific release window has not yet been shared.

In the game, players take on the role of Beary, the cutest (and deadliest) teddy bear in the galaxy, battling against the evil Boo Bees and Battery Boys in fast-paced encounters that grow increasingly challenging. Players can transform weapons like Catling Guns and FoamBalls into tools of mass destruction through powerful modifiers.

Each level is completed by choosing from a selection of items, allowing players to influence and shape their build as they progress.

Terraria 1.4.5 Bigger & Boulder update

505 Games, Re-Logic, and DR Studios today announced the release of version 1.4.5 for Terraria, dubbed the “Bigger & Boulder” update.

There’s a massive amount that’s here. It features IP crossover content from the open-world game Palworld, with its beloved pals landed now in Terraria, and additional weapons, combat accessories and items, directly from the acclaimed rogue-lite Dead Cells.

Ratalaika Games, in partnership with Shinyuden and Erbe Software, has announced that Fred and Jeff: The Atomic Sulfate will be launching on Nintendo Switch later this week. The game is set to release on January 30.

Fred and Jeff: The Atomic Sulfate is a point-and-click adventure where a stolen chemical threatens the world by turning insects into giants. Players follow the heroes Fred and Jeff as they infiltrate a tyrant’s fortress to recover the Atomic Sulfate. The game combines puzzle-solving, classic mechanics, and a lighthearted, humorous tone.
