Believe it or not, Powell is a massive Star Fox fan. Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri recently revealed to Forbes that the actor reached out after The Super Mario Bros. Movie and spoke about his passion for the character.
Powell actually wants to be involved with a Star Fox movie. While that has yet to happen, he did end up securing the role of Fox in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

Last year, Nintendo (and The Pokemon Company) obtained a patent in the United States which involved summoning a character and letting it fight another. Reaction to the news was negative and many wondered what the impact could be for future games.
A couple of months later, we heard that USPTO Director John A. Squires had ordered a reexamination. We now have an update on the situation following that development.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream FAQ details 70 Mii limit, Nintendo Switch 2 improvements, and more
Posted on 4 days ago by Cris-(chito) in News, Switch | 0 comments
A Japanese FAQ page for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has been released on the Nintendo website, answering a couple of questions many fans have had about the title since the reveal of the game and launch of the demo. The title is set to release on April 16, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch, with a free demo out on the eShop.
A few fans were able to datamine the demo of the game and find that islands would be limited to 70 Miis. Nintendo has now officially confirmed that this is true in this FAQ. They have also revealed that the title will not support the Nintendo Switch 2’s newly added handheld mode boost function; instead, the title will simply run at a 1080p resolution undocked on the Nintendo Switch 2. There is no mention regarding to whether there will be any sort of boost while running on a docked Nintendo Switch 2, but they have made it clear that mouse mode is not supported. Another couple of interesting tidbits is that married couples are able to have babies regardless of their gender, and that Nintendo actually condones sharing posts about the game on social media, despite the heavy screenshot and clip sharing restrictions placed on the game.

Shigeru Miyamoto says he’s “on a mission to try to include Pikmin in any kind of Nintendo product we put up”

It’s no secret that Pikmin is Shigeru Miyamoto’s baby. Miyamoto was also responsible for the likes of Mario and Zelda, but he’s always had a soft spot for the plant-animal hybrid creatures.
Even when Pikmin wasn’t lighting the sales charts on fire, Miyamoto never gave up on Pikmin. The series has now seen four different titles and is popping up elsewhere. You may have spotted Pikmin at Super Nintendo World, and now the creatures even have a cameo appearance in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie reviews roundup
Posted on 5 days ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
We’re just a few hours away from the debut of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and reviews for the film are now coming in.
This is a follow-up to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which released in 2023. This time around, Nintendo worked with Illumination to create something based on the Super Mario Galaxy games for Wii. However, don’t expect a 1:1 recreation of those titles. Super Mario Galaxy is the focus at the end of the day, but we’ve seen elements of Super Mario Odyssey and even the inclusion of Fox McCloud from Star Fox.
