These Nintendo franchises would make great Warriors-style games
Posted on 3 months ago by Ethan in Features, General Nintendo | 0 comments
Warriors-style games aren’t for everyone – but clearly, there is still plenty of enjoyment to be found because we’ve gotten a rather steady stream of them over the years. These titles were generally developed at least in part by Omega Force, which is a subsidiary of Koei Tecmo. Their first large-scale collaboration with Nintendo was Hyrule Warriors in 2014, and as you can guess, it went over well – so much so, that it spawned a 3DS port, an enhanced version for Nintendo Switch, and numerous sequels. Most recently, we received Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment on Nintendo Switch 2.
But there have been a few other big Warriors-style games – Fire Emblem is the other big one, and it has received two unique games so far (not counting ports and such). There’s also Persona 5 Strikers, which doesn’t have much to do with Nintendo, but it’s another example of a major franchise that has its own Warriors “spin-off” (in quotations because Strikers isn’t really a spin-off). We now know that these games are very successful, which means we’ll be seeing more in the future. Zelda Warriors games are great, but how many of them can we get before we need a little break? Here are some Nintendo franchises we’d like to see turned into Warriors games.
Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition is the “first step” in series’ comeback, more news soon

Ubisoft has more in store for Rayman, according to CEO Yves Guillemot.
Rayman has mostly been absent in recent years. While we’ve seen him here and there – such as in the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC – the last big new game was Rayman Legends, which released over a decade ago. However, it looks like the franchise is starting to return to the spotlight.

Nintendo needs to bring back this budget-friendly franchise
Posted on 3 months ago by Ethan in 3DS eShop, Features, General Nintendo | 0 comments
In many ways, the Switch era marked a new beginning for several of Nintendo’s publishing partners. Nowadays, Intelligent Systems pretty much does three things: Fire Emblem, Paper Mario, WarioWare, and little else. And it makes sense – these are all big sellers. It’s actually been ten years since Intelligent Systems has worked on any other IP, which also means it’s been ten years since we’ve received a new Pushmo game.
When you talk about dormant Nintendo franchises, you usually bring up something like Wario Land, Kid Icarus, Punch-Out, or Star Fox. Pushmo doesn’t often enter the conversation, and perhaps this is because it received many titles over the course of the Nintendo 3DS’ life. The franchise has unfortunately been completely silent on Nintendo Switch, and there aren’t any signs that it will ever come back.

For the first time, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is now available to watch for free. This comes ahead of the sequel’s arrival in less than two months.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie came to streaming services a bit after its initial debut. However, that obviously required a subscription. Now Fandango has made the entire thing available online, and you don’t need any sort of membership to view it. The only caveat is that ads are included.
Here’s a synopsis of the film:

In the United States, the Super Bowl is one of the biggest events of the year with millions of fans tuning in to watch the football match. With all of those eyes out there, The Pokemon Company thought it’d be a good idea to show off an advert. It brought in some big names with Lady Gaga, Trevor Noah, Jisoo, Charles Leclerc, Lamine Yamal, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Young Miko.
