April 23: Nintendo has recently released its 1.6.0 update for F-Zero 99, but it seems the company has added another bonus in tandem with the patch. User icons based on the game are now redeemable for Nintendo Switch Online members.

It is not required to play F-Zero 99 in order to claim these rewards. 12 character icons are up for grabs, as well as 12 backgrounds. Each character icon is redeemable with 10 Platinum Points on My Nintendo, and each background for 5.

Maximum Entertainment and Breakfirst Games have just announced that How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine will be releasing for Nintendo Switch on June 24th, 2025. They have also released a free demo of the game that is already available to download on the eShop.

How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine is a co-op puzzle adventure game in which two players use different devices simultaneously to gather clues in escape room-like scenarios. The game has one player use the console, and another on the dedicated free How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine companion app available on PC, iOS, and Android.

Bustafellows Season 2 will be launching for Nintendo Switch on July 17th, 2025 in the west. The first run of physical editions are to include an exclusive character booklet with concept art.

Bustafellows is a romance mystery visual novel series, with the original Bustafellows releasing on Switch in 2021. Bustafellows Season 2 had already released in Japan in 2023, and was confirmed for a western Switch release last year.

The 3D paper crafted collectathon PaperKlay has just been announced to make its way to Nintendo Switch. A release date has not yet been detailed.

Solo developed and published by WhyKev, PaperKlay is a 3D platformer where you play as the duo Chick & Nugget journeying across a crafted world to find the lost eggs. The game also features notable talents such as composer Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee), voice actor Kevin Miller (Sly Cooper), and more.

Game Builder Tycoon is making its way to Nintendo Switch this week, PlayWay has announced. It’s due out on May 7, 2025.

Game Builder Tycoon allows you to simulate the wide field of the game industry. Players can take up anything from the development aspects, to the business aspects of the industry.  The game is developed by AM Playhouse and published by PlayWay S.A.

Original: Nintendo continues updating elements of its brand seemingly in preparation for the Nintendo Switch 2, one of which being the designs of their eShop cards. You can get a look at them in the graphic above. 

Posted by Brazilian user @PortalSMario on X, the new cards show off updated renders of classic Mario characters whom also appeared in the previous set. These include Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Toad, and Donkey Kong sporting his new Donkey Kong Bananza design. It should be also noted that the new cards seem to be square, in contrast to the previous designs being rectangular.


Battle Train will be making its way to Nintendo Switch on June 18th, 2025.

Battle Train is a roguelite deck-n-track builder that has players taking the role of contestants on a game show. They use cards to build up their bases and attack enemy structures, all through the connection of trains and tracks. The game is co-developed by Terrible Posture Games and Nerd Ninjas LLC, with Bandai Namco Entertainment publishing it.

Against the Storm has been announced to be making its way to Nintendo Switch for a June 26th, 2025 release.

In this game you try to rebuild civilization in an apocalyptic world by managing a network of settlements across diverse settings, with each having their own specific needs. The dark fantasy roguelite city builder was originally developed by Eremite Games and published by Hooded Horse, with its console port being developed by QLOC.

Road59: A Yakuza’s Last Stand has officially been dated to release on September 25, 2025. It will release digitally worldwide, with Japan getting a physical release as well.
