Overwatch gets official Nintendo Switch 2 vs. Switch graphics comparison video

Blizzard has put out an official comparison video for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions of Overwatch.

The shooter has been on the older system for a few years, but just came to the new system just last week. Today’s video shows a number of improvements users will find when playing on Nintendo Switch 2.

Performance is the biggest thing here. The game’s frame rate was a bit shaky on Nintendo Switch, but on Switch 2, things have been improved. Now the action can go up to 60 frames per second.

There are also graphical effects on Nintendo Switch 2 which weren’t present on Switch 1. We see a few instances in particular of fire effects being added to the new version. Another shot shows more going on with the water in one stage. All of this is bolstered by a higher resolution on Nintendo Switch 2.

Overwatch is out now on the Nintendo eShop. While the game launched with a frame rate bug on Nintendo Switch 2, that issue has now been patched.
