April 14: Overwatch just launched on Nintendo Switch 2 today, but things haven’t gone smoothly. Soon after release, players reported issues with the port – notably with performance.

Blizzard promised that the new Nintendo Switch 2 version would run up to 60 frames per second. However, some fans thought that the Nintendo Switch 1 version was accidentally uploaded since the action felt closer to 30 FPS.

That’s certainly a disappointment, but Blizzard is at least aware of the situation. The company says it’s “aware of issues with Nintendo Switch 2 performance” and is “working on a patch to resolve this.”

As of now there’s no ETA on when the update will be available. We’ll let you know when we hear about it going live.

Blizzard has also acknowledged other issues with the game. These are as follows:

Settings

  • We’re aware of an issue where custom binds are not being saved properly and/or being reset.

Mystery Heroes

  • The configuration for Mystery Heroes has been updated. Please refer to the Patch Notes for more information.

Cosmetics

  • We’re aware of an issue where the following cosmetics are missing. The issue will be resolved in a future patch.
    • Ana’s “Sparklers” Victory Pose
    • Mercy’s “Pompompurin x Mercy” Avatar
    • Mercy’s “Pompompurin x Mercy” Spray
    • Emre’s “Where’s Emre” Voice Line
    • Anran’s “Roasted!” Voice Line
    • Mizuki’s “Behind this mask” Voice Line
    • Domina’s “Inadequate creature” Voice Line
