It’s been a little while since we last reported on some Nintendo Switch games that have been fixed for Switch 2 for backwards compatibility, but a new batch is in. Most of the titles here were addressed in conjunction with the most recent system update.

There are some big names that have been fixed, including Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe. For this one specifically, while it was functional, Nintendo previously noted that users may encounter audio issues – though thankfully, that won’t happen any longer.

Below is the full list of backwards compatibility fixes for Nintendo Switch games on Switch 2 for March 2026:

Minecraft Dungeons 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, Xbox Game Studios, Mojang Studios, and Double Eleven just revealed. The game is coming out in Fall 2026.

This follows the previous game that hit Nintendo Switch in 2021. Apparently the sequel has been in development for quite some time as it’ll be five years between titles.

First details can be found in the following overview:

Best Mario games ranked

Nintendo recently celebrated its favorite holiday, MAR10 Day – which means there’s no better time to rank the mainline Super Mario titles. For reference, this only includes games that the company considers to be “main series”, which generally includes 2D Mario and 3D Mario, but not Wario Land or Yoshi’s Island (even though the former was called Super Mario Land 3 and the latter Super Mario World 2). It also includes Super Mario Run, for whatever reason, and as you might expect that game is nowhere to be found on our list.

Before you read, keep in mind that this is of course a heavily subjective list, and it’s more to promote all of you ranking your own lists in the comments down below than anything else. Feel free to share your thoughts after you read our top ten!

Today, Compile Heart unveiled Neptunia: Unlimited, which is planned for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. It’s first debuting in Japan on August 27, 2026. Expect a western release and a finalized English name later.

Neptunia: Unlimited is arriving over a decade after the last mainline entry in the series. It’s also the first game in the franchise for Nintendo Switch 2.

Here’s some information about it:

It took some time, but it looks like GameCube emulation has been improved on Nintendo Switch 2.

Previously, one of the major issues plaguing the service was input lag. Another problem cropping up was analog sensitivity. While latency still isn’t where some would like to be, the first issue has now been addressed.

There’s that first moment, in every great horror game, when the player reaches that dark room… you know, the one that’s just a bit darker than the ones that came before. You have to enter the room, of course; it’s the only place left to go. You’re running low on resources, so in the back of your mind, you worry something is going to jump out at you and finish the job. Reluctantly, you press forward… and nothing happens. Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake does this a lot. So, you breathe a sigh of relief, and enter the next room… and that’s when the exact thing you were dreading happens.

THQ Nordic has announced a few new games for Nintendo Switch 2 with Destroy All Humans, Destroy All Humans 2 – Reprobed, and Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed for the system. All of these games will be released throughout 2026.
