Monster Games working on an unannounced title with “Career” and “Championship” modes
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 7 Comments
Excite Truck developer Monster Games has been working on a new project since at least February of last year which includes both “Career” and “Championship” modes. That’s according to the LinkedIn profile of Joshua Ruis, a software engineer at the studio. This find is sparking speculation that a new racer or perhaps a sports title could be in development.
Monster Games has only made Nintendo titles since 2006. In addition to Excite Truck, the company created Excitebots: Trick Racing, Excitebike: World Rally, and Pilotwings Resort along with the Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D ports.

Mario Kart Arcade GP DX gets a big update in Japan, adds new courses and more
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 9 Comments
In Japan, a pretty big update has been released for the arcade game Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. This adds new courses such as Pac-Man Stadium and Namco Circuit while also improving the user interface and making the versus mode more enjoyable.
First, below are details on Pac-Man Stadium and Namco Circuit:
Pac-Man Stadium
A course glittering with neons, with the Pacman statue leaving the most impressions. It’s a technical course with many sharp curves. In order to progress smoothly, players will need to memorize the order of curves, and spin the handle in a rhythmical pattern accordingly.
Namco Circuit
A circuit that looks like a history museum of Namco games. There are many straight lines and loose curves, making it a course with high-speed battles. Use the acceleration area gimmicks well to instantly widen the gap against rivals.

Nintendo releases Pocket Card Jockey demo on the North American 3DS eShop
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
Somewhat unexpectedly, a demo for Pocket Card Jockey has appeared on the North American 3DS eShop (requires 89.25MB of free space / 714 blocks). We knew that Europe would be receiving the download, but there hadn’t been any news for folks residing in the states. An official announcement will likely be made with tomorrow’s Nintendo Download press release.
For those who haven’t heard of Pocket Card Jockey previously, read up on the following description:
3, 2, 1… Go! Stack cards like it’s a race to the finish. And it is! In this fast-paced mash-up of solitaire and horse racing, you’ll jockey your way to victory by clearing cards to energize your horse. You can even level up your noble steed through strategic positioning on the track. Can you master solitaire and horseback racing… at the same time?!
After you get a dozen races under your belt, you can retire your horse – a sad moment for any jockey. However! You can relocate your horse to your very own farm and pair them with other retired horses to breed new ponies… that are completely adorable! Eventually these babies will pony up by maturing into horses that you can ride in competitions for prizes. You can then get items at Chirp’s shop, such as puzzle pieces or temporary bonuses. After completing certain puzzles, your hose will even gain more stats when leveling up. That’s some next-level jockeying!
Pocket Card Jockey has a general May release window in North America. It’s set for May 5 in Europe.
