Masayoshi Yokoyama from RGG Studio has spoken about bringing Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties to Nintendo Switch 2 as well as the series’ future on the platform.

In a Creator’s Voice video published by Nintendo today, Yokoyama indicated that Switch 2 could get additional Yakuza games if fans express their interest. He had this to say:

Today, SEGA confirmed the release date for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage on Nintendo Switch 2 and also shared news about an upcoming beta.

The game will be ready to go on March 26, 2026. Digital and physical pre-orders are starting today. Those who purchase any version will receive the SEGA Hardware Customization Item “Genesis”, which is based on the legendary SEGA hardware.

Those who order the digital 30th Anniversary Edition ($49.99, standard is $19.99) will receive the following:

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties demo

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is set to receive a demo on Nintendo Switch 2 in just a couple of days. Nintendo Switch 2 players can grab it on January 22, SEGA has confirmed.

The demo for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will let players experience both sides of the package. As of now we’re waiting on further details.

Mario Sonic Olympic Games Nintendo request

Ryoichi Hasegawa, who was previously a producer has SEGA, has shared an interesting tidbit about Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Back in the day, this was a pretty historic partnership. Mario & Sonic were once seen as rivals, but the two were coming together for the first time in their own game. As it turns out though, Nintendo did have a particular demand.

The latest SEGA and Atlus sale started up on the Nintendo eShop this week with plenty of discounts, including the lowest price ever for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble. Various Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch games are featured here.

Sega has given a wealth of new information on Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, this time about Karaoke, cellphone customization, outfits, sub stories, play spots, and more about Kanda’s damage control quests. The title is due for release for Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12.

July 16: SEGA shared a bit of additional information about Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for Nintendo Switch 2 today, including confirmation that the game will contain the entire experience on its cartridge.

This is one of the rare titles on the console to be doing this. Thus far, most third-party publishers have opted to use game-key cards. This has drawn ire from fans as they’re not truly physical – you’re basically getting a blank cartridge as the game needs to be downloaded from the internet.

January 5: The next piece of major Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds DLC is coming very shortly as the game now confirmed its release date for the Pac-Man Pack. Players can get their hands on it starting January 7, 2026.

You’ll be getting more than just Pac-Man as a new character here. SEGA is also bringing along a new track, a new vehicle, and more.
